I doubt it would work, people have long memories. Lita's screwing him over Matt Hardy made him a permanent heel and his affair with Vickie cemented that. Trying to make Edge into a face now would be a hopeless venture. Plus since that neck injury, he has hardly been the same daredevil he used to be in the ring.
