also fanned frets are supposed to be ergonomic :) I mean stretching your hands out to make all kinds of chords can't be good for your hands especially if the chords span over 5 frets.

Its called a Fan Fret. The guitar he is playing is a baritone guitar, they're tuned alot lower than conventional guitars. Having the longer scale for the lower strings on the guitar help keep the intonation true across the fretboard :D

actuly the fanned frets are because around about the 8th fret wiv normal fret spacing it goes a little out of tune and thts why they are slightly angled
