hi how would i go about making it bigger to do a bigger moon? do you just double the quantity of stitches or work in multiples of 12 to cast on? thank you xx

@LittleMissJennifer84 You can work another row of increase stitches. You may have some trial and error in fine tuning the right look and shape.

What size hook are you using for this? It looks like a "J" to me but I can't be sure.

The single crochet is always good. You could also use the seed stitch.
