  • The first thing all of the girls want to know, once Batman drives up in his Batmobile, is the whereabouts of Robin. Robin is a real heartthrob amongst the teenagers. And he's not too shabby when he's Dick Grayson, either. Yowza!

  • This is like the first cartoon I've seen where Dick and Barbara don't end up together.

  • Shut up about Joker. I'll sue. xD

  • Batman was a lot less badass back then, nowadays no one would know he was at the school until hours after he left

  • I would have guessed Riddler or Two-Face

  • "Prepare yourself for a BLOW!"

  • To the BatPoles!

  • I used to watch this when I was a kid...thanks for this fanofbats I enjoy very much :)

  • What Robin's in high school? How can he keep missing so much time from classes without drawing suspicion? I thought he was in college in this series?

How did they make the leap to the Joker anyway I agree with others my guess would be the Riddler, some hidden riddle dealing with milk and coins or dollars... something like "When is a bottle of milk really a silver dollar?"

  • the Joker Riddler & Mr Freeze Are The Best Villians Ever On Batman Catwoman & The Mad Hatter Well They Are Ok

  • I wish I had a milk machine.... 3(

  • The milk machine has been corrupted! Egads! There's no time to lose! :O

  • Milk machine !? You don't see that any more.

  • When Batman arrives at Gordon's office! They don't show him going up!

  • In the first scene, with the 3 cheerleaders, the one in the middle is Nova from the Planet of the Apes movie.

  • @jfab64 excellent observation, I had never noticed that before!

  • tell me... how does milk machines releaseing silver dollars = joker? i wouldve guessed 2-face

  • How does a machine that spits out silver dollars and stock bonds undermine student moral?

  • Funny how they ask Bruce to run for mayor, and in The Batman cartoon Adam West is the voice of the mayor.

  • this one's my dad's faviourite episode. he was sad when they cancelled the show and then the re-runs. so i bought a cord that plugs from my laptop to the tv so he can watch them again.

  • Those cheerleaders look like they're going to prepare for trouble and make it double.

  • @RedLightBulbs Excellent observation. I agree. but,I'll resist the urge to recite the motto.

  • Someone explain to me why having a vending machine that delivers silverdollars is considereda BAD THING???

  • Why the hell would you put a vending machine in the library?

  • @thepikapikaaa

It would be one thing if it was also a milk machine but why a candy machine is beyond me.

  • @dylpickelMW2 jack nickolsin joker in the movie batman to a long pistol out of his pants

  • it is funny it shows you the writing for all of the Joker characters were a sign of the times. All of them were great, but i think the writting is the biggest difference

    Romero - Shakespereian (more theatrical)

Nicholson - More serious, stilll had a sense of humor

Ledger - Very dark, not as giddy/clowny as the others but probably most devious

  • The megaphone LOL.

  • Long live the Joker!!

  • Mmm...Cheerleaders in pantyhose! Those were the days!

  • This is by far the best TV show.

  • Cesar Romero is so good!!!

But, in my opinion, Heath is the best Joker ever.

  • Comment removed

  • they have candy bars in their vending machines??? man, all we have is trail mix and granola bars in my high school :/

  • Na NA NA na na na na na Adam West! Adam West

  • I wish I had a vending machine that gave me stocks and bonds.

  • Robin says the funniest eeffin hero frases in this movie

  • The brunette cheerleader on the right who says "siver dollars" at 1:18 is Linda Harrison aka Nova.

  • I was on that city "hoops" championship team (see banner at 0:16). And yes, we did have a milk vending machine at Woodrow Roosevelt High back then.

  • The first program aired Jan 12, 1966. It had the Riddler.

  • does anyone else have a milk machine in their high school?

  • me! i traveled to 60s! XD

  • I used to, but it was a school in the Netherlands

  • I never did.

  • Was this the very first episode?

If I remember correctly, the show ALWAYSA ended in cliffhangers and continued on from there. The narrator also did a lot more explaining of the characters than usual. Is this the first episode?

  • No! The first ever episode was with The Riddler called: "Hey Diddle Riddle" and ended with the second episode: "Smack in the Middle". The Joker's first appearance was in the episodes: "The Joker is Wild" and "Batman is Riled".

The episode we're watching now is episode 15 of the series

  • Soon as I see the cheerleaders in the first few seconds with the big red R on there uniforms I instantly think of team rocket! I mean the rest of there uniform is even white as well!

All there missing is boots, gloves, and insane hair

  • fan of bats you ar emy mate for life and my hero thank you for al these vids you got the mr freeze one with the ice rink

  • I think it is already posted. All the Mr Freeze ones are.

  • @FanOfBats thanks mate

  • There is only one Joker........Senor Romero!!!

  • My big question. Why is Bruce Wayne at Woodrow Roosevelt high school?!?!?

  • This is My favorite episode too. Thanks for putting it up here.

  • How does one make the leap from milk machines that spit out silver dollars to the Joker? It could have been anyone, Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin... hell, if audiences weren't so squeamish back then my first guess would have been Two-Face.

  • i concur. But, was two-face a villain by this episode?

  • Yes, Two-Face debuted in 1942. I read on another videos board that Two-Face was considered for the show and was going to be played by CLint Eastwood, but it was decided he would have been to gruesome.

  • @lastofthedaves If not for the obvious episode title I would have guessed Riddler.

  • @lastofthedaves yeah now if the vending machine explode or gas them with laughing gas , i understant

  • @lastofthedaves

I know really. Tampering with a vending machine doesn’t exactly scream “The Joker”; in fact if it wasn’t for ‘The Joker’s’ name in the title of this episode, I never would have suspected him to be the culprit.

  • Best episode ever. But at 0:10 is that team rocket?

  • YES. Without a doubt my FAVORITE episode in the series.

    Thanks!

  • Ha ha, Bruce didn't speak too highly of politics.
