This song is some sick ass shit next level Far Beyond the sun.. With out Jens and Anders it is not the same and his new stuff with that ripper owens is trash.. The only good tunes on his new cd are the ones with no singer or Yngwie singing....

Yngwie has a demo he played for me in 1983 from the 1st cd that is as sick as this or sicker. It was the most sick shtit I ever had him play for me in the Holliday inn Chicago 1983!!!.... Thats a fact Jack....

@cmdangelo Yes, you are so correct on my friend!s from Sweden!!! When did Marcel Jacobs join Yngwie I was under the impression it was around that 81 - 82 time slot? They are all great friends and they even accepted a Norwegian me over 25 years ago!!

Yngwie played only two tunes of this album.

Europe's bassist John Leven played all. He was chosen by Yngwie when CBS offered record debut to Yngwie in 1980. At that time Marcel Jacob was on bass in Yngwie's band but he chosen Mr. Leven for recording. Mr. Leven recorded one or two songs including Black Star and EP was confirmed to be released but it was cancelled cuz Mr. Leven reft Yngwie's band and rejoined Force, pre-Europe. So Yngwie lost opportunity of record debut at that time.

I was like stoned when i first heart this song, i love baroque with heavy sound. piano solo in beginning is so awesome, no words. But why this cut before end. Last part is almost better. All Opposable Thumbs is also excellent masterpiece.

its hard to find them....i was able to find few of them on net... fission( 1997), heavy machinery( 1997), last viking (1999)....last viking is masterpiece....try to get it from rapidshare...i was able to download it in that way....jens is god in every fucking possible musical way...i admire him so much...hes unique and awesome keyboard player..

Great keyboard work! I used to like Malmsteen a lot, but after 1988 he degenerated as a depth musician, his solos just make no sense anymore. I wish he reads this and will go to his roots of the 1st 3 albums and Alcatrazz and Steeler. But Jens did a great job on this one!

Rising Force was the name of the band. Or more specifically, Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force. Notice the name appears on Marching Out, Trilogy, and Odyssey.
