We never stopped on the slide, back in the day, it was full throttle the whole way. Oddly enough, if you lean OUT of the turns, the cart will stay on the track better.

I went there when I was really young it must of closed maybe a year or two after I went there. But I got too go on this ride I remember but I didn't get too go on all the other cool shit because I was too young but this shit was defintley fun. I do remeber my older brother saying that he saw some lady when we were there that fell off and scraped her face up or some shit though.

@tekubus this was filmed in either 1994 or 1995. it opened for a month in 1996 but you had to wear knee pads and a helmet. sad, becasue this ride was the most epic thing to ever happen ever. When I grow up, im going to get some donations or whatever and rebuild it somewhere, then let kid ride it all day long. with out the spitting and with helmets! if youve been on it you know that the big kids spit from the chairs and call names.

No seatbelts. If you wiped out, you flew off the sled and into the weeds.

You could only go as fast as the person in front of you. If there happened to be some old granny in front of you going 18 mph, then you obviously couldn't go faster than that person, and you clearly can't go around her. All you can do is pretty much stop in your tracks and put some distance between you and the person on the sled in front of you, and try to pick up some speed from that point.

The Alpine Slide at Action Park was shut down due to too many accidents. Many of the cars on their ride had brakes that didn't work!

Lol. well back in July 1998, i nearly died on an alpine slide ride in Minnesota when i flew off a dip, crashed and landed face first on the track with the sled on top of me. Ironicly, right before the crash i passed a sign that said "excess speed causes injury or death" Nice video though
