I don't like Queen or Freddy Mercury, but I know and recognize talent when I see it and Freddy Mercury was a very talented musician. I like the Pistols too, but Sid WAS a jerk, and died like one.

Freddie was a powerfully built man and a talented boxer, Sid was a skin and bone punk. Sid may have been taller but I suspect Freddie would have dropped him quite easily.
There's also a story that Paul Weller (The Jam) beat Sid up in seconds in a Londion club. Weller is a rather small guy.
Sid Vicious was an an image, an attitude, I like the guy but he was no hard man, he was named after Johnny Rotten's hamster!
