i agree w/ @davidbfeig. i do have inpingment syndrom & i think a lot of it has 2 do w/ the fact Im super flexible & when i started weight training yrs ago i was lifting like a maniac & probably over rotating
I thought upright rows, due to the internal rotation around the shoulder, tended to irritate the shoulders and cause impingment?

@davidbfeig they do, you are right. it's a very overrated exercise. most ppl do it b/c of the amount of weight they can use.
