This was a test scene. the role of the old lady WAS played by May Robson in the film, but the lady for this test was Beulah Bondi! And the blonde is Gloria Dickson who was also in the film. Ann Sheridan had a small role at the beginning of the movie.

LOL i just searched this because in the trailer of the new rockstargame L.A Noire there was a movie theater saying Warner Brothers presenting "they made me a criminal" (the game takes place in the past)

The blonde lady (watching Garfield get slapped) is Anne Sheridan and she is better looking than Mr. Garfield ever was!

This is definitely Gloria Dickson, she played Tommy's sister "Peggy" on the farm Jack ends up at. Sheridan played "Goldie West", the girlfriend of Jack aka Johnnie Bradfield in the scene's prior to Jack ending up at the farm. Also Sheridan was not a blonde in this film..
