Well, it's created by Level-5, it's a Japanese RPG, or J-RPG. They tend to have turn based combat, but in Level-5's previous games, Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle, turn based combat was never implemented. The stories of their ancestral games were absolutely rivetting, and I have never played a game that rivals them. White Knight Chronicles looks like it is going to be a very, very good game.
