@talotolorun Well mostly because Whitney, through Church and her mom, learned how to correctly sing. She even could sing opera correctly which is extremely hard (check youtube video). Here and beyond, you see the damage that which her nodules and drugs had upon her: the raspiness and strain. Although, she still sings this just like the studio version which is amazing. Great vibrato as always too!

@FoggyRoad81 Rife with so much ignorance. The only example of why her voice is suffering here, is because of the damage her voice suffered from the extensive, two year long "Bodyguard World Tour". Any real Whitney Houston fan knows that she developed nodules after the tour, due to excessive performing with not even time for her voice to recover inbetween performances. Drugs didn't take a toll on Whitney's voice until around the year 2000 or so.
