To American standards at the time, this might have been a good song and I'll admit, I liked the song too back then, but knowing about Seiko Matsuda's other work and her incredible booming soprano voice she used in those songs, this song just doesn't quite have the same bite. It's still not a bad song, just not as good as a lot of her other work before and after.
