  • lol zuid holland

  • ...yep...it's turtles all the way down...

  • EPIC.

  • yeah the netherlands :D

    XD

  • That's quite unbelievable...

  • We would like to use this video for an education program. Would you mind if we modified it to only show up to the part when the DNA molecules become visible? We hope to emphasize molecules found in living cells. Thanks!

  • This is what I have been looking for!

  • you stole this video..... -.-

  • you forgot quarks and then strings

  • @PaladinswordSaurfang superstrings are just theoretical at the moment, so I think this video is just based on the standard model.

I don't know what all those whispy white things were inside the protons/neutrons though, perhaps they were quarks, but there seemed to be quite a few of them...

Maybe they were some kind of plank length object lol

  • @revorocks123

    they were quarks!!!

  • @tadeuk2k

Why do many of them, protons and neutrons are only made of 3 quarks...

  • @revorocks123

well a quark survives for only 0,0000000000000000000001 second

they die so quickly and at this very moment others are born so fast that it seems that there are many

    get it ; )

  • When I look at the sky I see the infinity, looks like I am nothing compared to the universe, but at the same time I look in my hands and see how complex I am.

AND who knows if the whole universe is just a particule of another universe? Who knows if there is an entire universe inside every particle?

The reality is so confusing and awesome!

  • Hey i dont know if im ask 2much...but do u hav an HD (1920 by 1080) version 2 this?

  • Comment removed

  • hEY i dont know if it's possible...but can i use this for a film?....PLz reply!

  • @SquallyGallis

    Sure

  • @Bloodgod40 Tankz ALOT!! :D

  • All the weight of matter is concentrated in the nucleons (neutrons and protons). Their dimensions are 100000x smaller than that of a helium atom. The density of matter consisting of pure crammed neutrons for example is measured in terms of 10^17kg/m3. It's amazing to see that even the nucleon is an empty space with its mass concentrated in these up and down quarks seen at the end. So, how incredibly dense these quarks have to be!

  • was that a drop of water?

  • What is this from?

  • @Jammed9000

I think he made it ;)

  • above as below

  • This give pretty good image of how we´re small for average human, but reality is much more epic. But still very good. Is that from any documentary movie or you made it by yoursefl?

  • Awesome.

  • Incredible.

  • What? I thought we evolved from monkeys!!

    ???!

  • *sniff*..... this is what i see every day..... yes, my eyes ARE that powerful. lol

  • So...

(I viewed the comments and I still wonder why has no one asked this before, unless it is obvious...)

What do these circles that show up periodically represent? Does it mean that the diameter of every subsequent circle is 10 (100?) times smaller, or what?

  • @VocVynoo

They are 10's. If you watch the other video on my channel (cosmic voyage excerpt) it's explained there.

  • it kinda fails at 0:26

  • never felt smaller.

  • i know this isn't SO related, but is it me, or do the outer edges of the universe (which contain us, galaxies, and all that good stuff) look like brain cells?

  • @WorthWatchingVv It does look that way. I believe that everything is related in this place. check out other vids of the entire universe and you will see it again.

  • @MrIrishlogic

They can, but no one will watch it in its entirety :P

  • THE NETHERLANDS!!!

  • Groovy....and innacurate :D

  • Wooooooooooooooooooow!

    (spelled "Wooooooooooooooooooow!")

  • oh my god That was awesome man Im gonna use this in a movie :D

  • And you think your commute is FAR?

  • Universe is huge beyond our imagination, and we humans are just small, meaningless peace of it, helplessly trying to understand it, who we are and what is our role in that endless space... :(

  • This is a clip from the documentary "Cosmic Voyage" very cool stuff.

  • Now that's what you call 'full extension' from the macro to the micro. This is the ultimate zoom shot!

  • Very good video!!

to zoom in right to the quantum level was great!

  • how much you wanna bet it goes forever both ways

  • @julianochoa1 so true

  • @julianochoa1 i think it doesn't go any further then string theory but outwards it goes infinitely.

  • that was awesome

  • Very cool !

  • OMG!

  • BEAUTIFUL !

  • my chem. teacher made us watch dis 4 hwk!!!

  • i know thats why i watched it :P

  • That's some awesome middle mouse button zooming right there!

  • a zoom into sting level would be cool =d

  • XD did it zoom inside an atom? or did it just go to the atom and why do i have a feeling theres going to be people replying to this saying yo ucant go inside an atom o_O

  • Of course you can. Protons, neutrons, electrons? Atomic fission. A-bombs?

  • And inside of those : quarks and gluons and a sea of ephemeral particles issued of the quantum foam

  • @Sasukeuchihahebi Inside atoms there quarks

  • @Sasukeuchihahebi

You can, since an atom is largely empty space. It's practically impossible to zoom in on it, but there is a lot of space inside an atom.

At the end it goes into a proton or neutron, but I don't know too much of what those are composed of. Well, of quarks, but I don't know much about quarks or what they are imagined like etc.

  • my God!!

  • i like it

  • amazing 5*

  • theyv'e got a thing like that in techniques it's awesome

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • ha nice, that was epic

  • Redo! Needs labels, like alpha-centauri's (closest star 4.4 ly) appearance, & the furthest naked-eye star (4000 ly), M4 & Omega Centauri global clusters, Nebulas (Crab, Tarantula, Rosetta, Orion, etc). Also document our galaxy contains 2 billion stars. Also document the appearance of our closest neighbor galaxy, sagitarius dwarf (170K ly), & the furthest nake-eye galaxy, andromeda (2.5M ly). Label galaxy cluster appearance, furthest detected galaxy /quasar, & universe size 13B yrs ago vs today.

  • This is from an Onimax movie.

  • this would be good if you could zoom in his far on google earth :D

  • @runescaperox4eva

Microscopy with Google Earth... Interesting idea.

  • Reminds me of MIB. I love this stuff--great job!!

Up, down, charmed, strange, top, bottom...saw those! :D

  • =D electronssss

  • Brilliant!

  • That's amazing.

I really like the way you merged the scenes during the middle of the film from Cosmic voyage. Nice and swift! :)

  • Do you have a tutorial of this?

  • lok, if yo want me to get into a really fucking detailed explination i wil, but do't go around actinly like you know everything, bacause you don't.

  • O.O

  • WHOA.

  • this is from an IMAX movie that I saw many years ago when I was a little kid.

  • Very nice, I think it's a loop.

  • I agree !

  • i dont get it

wheu go inside the proton or neutron how come theres no quarks and just a bunch of shit flyijng aroud???

  • The shit flying around is teh quarks i thought. ZOMG THEN IN THE QUARKS ARE STRINGS!

  • i thought quarks ARE strings

  • nope =P

  • wat. why not ? i want them to be strings.

  • still does not make em stings.

  • but theyre strings arent they. the smallest particle. so what do you think quarks are made of, if not of vibrating strings. they are strings, dude. just like electrons are strings too.

  • @levlobotomy its a theory for a reason, it really doesnt have too much evidence to back it up. too many problems, missing imaginary particles...need to wait to see

  • wahahah.. :D

  • physicsforums,com/showthread,php?t=235198

  • The quarks are free to bounce around but are confined by a force (actually we theorise that might be the action of gluons) that acts a little bit like rubber bands. As long as they don't go too far from each other they are loose, but go far enough and the force magnifies, bringing them back together.

  • Awesome zoom-in video.

  • holy shiiiiiitt

  • and there are 10.000 things to come before and after this...

  • @timen1986 I don't know about before but there isn't after.

  • i saw this in imax, i shat bricks

this is probably the best example of why I believe in a god. nothing that amazing could have been by chance.

  • Except for the things that have.

  • wut

  • That's what I thought too but it might be mistaken. Our limited minds cannot conceive of much that we didn't evolve to conceive of, like the existence of existence.

In order to make it make sense, we say existence was caused by a conscious entity. But this doesn't work because it doesn't explain the existence of that entity, so we have to say that's a mystery. Why not say the universe is a mystery and forget the conscious entity assumption?

See Richard Dawkins' "Atheist" speech at TED . COM

  • God thinks:

"I'm so bored, i'm the only thing in existence, I wonder how I got here. There is no possible way I'm here, who cares man I hav awesome magical powers that I can create things out of nothing

    *stars and planets magically appear

"i'll create some people...Oh, people only do bad things! I'm going to flood the earth so everyone dies.

    *the earth magically floods

-yes I'm atheist coz I have common sense and there was sarcasm in that lil fictional story =)

  • don't try and tell me that atheism is just pure and simple common sense. you make a decision, does ths world have a purpose? or is it just some kind of weird cosmic accident? you chose te latter, I chose the former. i believe either choice is completely reasonable and both should be respected by the opposing viewpoint.

  • No, it's reasonable to say "we don't (yet?) understand the ultimate nature of reality, and we will not assume anything." It is NOT reasonable to say, "I don't understand this, so it must be a conscious, mind-reading, reality-interfering-with, entity." Being social animals, we are prone to imagine "entitivity" to explain things, but that isn't any evidence at all. Try "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. If you're sure of God, the book will only increase your faith (to see how wrong it is).

  • I'm not copping out and just saying god did it, I am looking at the earth and all it's beauty, its form, its irreducable structure, and realizing that there had to be some designer. I'm cool with evolution(to a point) and science, and even the atheist belief(because that is your choice and it isn't stupid at all). I do however hate it when people assume that simply because I believe in a god I am just being lazy and not wanting to look at facts and evidence. Both views are completely reasonable.

  • I appreciate your lack of hostility to atheism. I originally thought (especially because of this film, in theaters) that there simply MUST be an overarching consciousness, or at least that it is a good possible explanation. But now I don't really have arguments against the atheist position anymore (eg the Earth is definitely not irreducible, incidentally), especially "The God Delusion," which blew me away. It's thoughtful, sincere and compassionate. If you ever get any chance, read that one.

  • You are a man of great faith...

  • @metalpwner all you need is the 4 universal laws and everything else in the entire universe falls into place, not chance.

  • @Superjombombo1 Wow, all the comments in this thread I made 2 years ago. I had completely forgotten about them until now. I stopped believing in God about a year ago. Funny how one's views can change so drastically...

  • Where did God come from?

  • do you think you will be able to understand or I will able to explain it? if we try, will it be like to fill all of oceans water to a pot. our brains like pot but the information in the universe like oceans. every event in the universe shows a creation. the big bang, black holes, the harmony in the universe, shovs that there is an organizator of all of these.

even a needle can not be without someone who will make it.

HOW YOU BELIEVE THESE GIANT ORGANIZATION CAN BE WITHOUT AN ORGANIZATOR.

  • because organizator is not a word

  • @xyzbilal

universal laws, all you need is 4 of them and everything falls into place. Gravity, Strong nuclear, weak nuclear forces and electromagnetism

  • this is the final shot of the video "Cosmic Voyage" narrated by morgan freeman, its awesome!

  • That... that's just wow.

Normally I'm more verbose, but I literally can't think of any other words to describe it.

    Wow.

  • THATS PRETTY CLOSE
