Think of this symbolically in a modern context. Big Fat Cat American Slyvester has ALL the cheese; little mouse Mexican Speedy and his little mouse Mexican friends don't have ANY cheese. Big Fat Cat American Slyvester doesn't want Little Mexican Speedy and his Mexican Little Mouse Friends to have the cheese. Interesting that Big Fat Cat American Slyvester isn't going to eat all the cheese himself, he just wants to POSSESS the cheese and deprive the Mexican Little mice of having their SHARE.
