I never made it to Vegas until two years ago and the only shows I saw were Jersey Boys, Lion King and Vinnie Favorito. I missed out on so much but I'm so glad that people like you are generous enough to have these classic videos on Youtube and a huge thank you to Youtube!
Enge has just been given another G'daughter from his son Scott and daughter-in-law Jo here in Australia...the Dorsey family are all over the world now and enjoying their wonderful lives so congratulations to them all and Godbless
On October 9, I saw Enge at the Windsor Ontario concert. I was the lucky lady he called on stage. If anyone was there and got a picture or cell phone video, please contact me. It was a wonderful evening for me. He is just marvelous. I know some of his devoted fans follow him around the world and I am hopeful someone got this. It was the Thursday night show. Enge forever.
I just saw him Oct. 30 and 31st at the Orleans in LV. He was absolutely fantastic. Patricia, his wife, and son Jason and Daughter Louise and baby were there too. Steve Lawrence was in the audience. Enge put on a show that cannot be topped. Yes, the fans can get rowdy, but never during his songs, only between songs and they were showing their appreciation of him. Honestly, you have to see this man in person to believe him. Great, great, great!!
But musn't forget, Engelbert will be there again this year....at the Orleans in Las Vegas, Oct 30-31 & Nov 1-2. If you can possibly get there, don't miss his show, tickets were already on sale, but you can still get a good seat. If you want to try for better seats, courtesy goes a long way, and to please the customer is part of the host/hostess's job. If there is a seat available, they will find it, and the more of those unsold Broker seats, filled will be appreciated by the performer. ENJOY!
Just to bring things up to date, Enge will be back in Vegas next year 2009 at The Orleans. June 4-7 & Oct. 15-18. Enge fans spend their money in the Dining areas, shopping, take in a movie or go bowling, buy Enge souvenirs, and all done right in the Orleans, & there are many female fans on the computers as high rollers. Rooms are not destroyed, items are not stolen, we leave tips for the employees, & the florists do a booming business also. I agree with clendman, Enge lives for the stage.
Nowadays, Enge likes to pick and choose where and when he will appear, and yes, he returned to The Orleans in April. It was wonderful, a sell out crowd, and perfect timing, as Enge, on Opening Night, announced that his daughter, Louise, had given birth to his first grand-daughter, just about two hours before showtime. It was wonderful to be there, for the four shows, and all the excitement. Two of his sons were there also, and his brother. He will be back in Oct-Nov. Totally Amazing, that Man!
Yes! He's coming back! Thank you to whoever's responsible for bringing him back to us. My sister and I are going it's her first time to vegas and to see Enge. She and I were adopted as babies and reuninted last 2/07. What a trip this will be! God Bless you and your family Enge!
Yes! Our King's returning to Vegas! This makes a fans heart liven up. Like someone else said, there are fans that 'behave' but some make others look bad. I'm going in April with my sister she's never seen him (she and I were adopted as babies)reunited 2/07 this is our first trip together, she's going with me to see my idol! Yeah! What a trip this will be. God Bless whoever's responsible for bringing our Enge back to Vegas! We love you Enge. God Bless you and your family.
Its their loss!! I dont know of any venue that wouldnt want Engelbert to perform! He has never slowed down and commands sold out performances every time.. and even tho there are fans that can ruin things there are enough of us that do behave!! I hope he never retires! God blessed us with this gorgeous man and a voice that is heavenly! Thank you Lord.........
I do hope he returns to Vegas someday. I do know for a fact as I was told by 3 hotels his fans bothered the hosts and hosteses so much for up front seats and they shared at least 4-6 to a room, never gambled much and brought their own food so the hotel got tired of it. This was before The Orleans!
From what I was told by a ticket agent at The Orleans ... Engelbert had (3) engagements set at The Orleans and wanted to cancel all (3). The management TOLD him that he would honor the July engagement ... and after he completed the July shows, that he was not welcome at The Orleans anymore. Still -- LOTS of other hotels / casinos in Vegas that would LOVE to have Enge play there. I did see him in Atlantic City in May 2007 .. great shows. Keep checking his website for tour dates / places
I guess they just had issues.. that was 2007. Enge just finished a 4-day run at The Orleans with dates scheduled there in June 2009 & October 2009. Maybe The Orleans realized what they were missing.. either way -- great to have him back.
What happened...geesh he's played Vegas for years. He never comes close to where I live. Vegas wasn't close either but at least you could see him more than one night while you were there. This is sad and I hope something changes - I have the fever. And he even played last year while he was there on my birthday - what was I thinking I should've been there!
I'm just saying going to Vegas (which won't be often now) will not be the same without seeing our Enge perform when I go. I enjoy Vegas but I always had his show/shows to look forward to. I went to see his shows. Lucky for you that you worked with such a classy, wonderful man.

Yes - he is going back to the orleans April 3-6, 2008. They know a good thing once they realize their mistake

Why did they want to cancel him? Why did he not get work in Las Vegas anymore. He still seems to draw a crowd.
