Do you think that if Austin had his neck surgery right after the botched piledriver at Summerslam 1997, that he would have had a longer career? He would've been out until like May or June (maybe April, I don't know). It seems like that when he continued to wrestle and get physical in the ring after his neck broke that it led to his somewhat steep decline. He had only 1998-2003, and half of those years were partials.
