  • Five stars for improvement and effort :-)

  • sorry i cant understand what kind of move this is!!!!

  • That is not Middle splits, That is a streddle sit.

  • I can do the right split only and a middle split. Please watch my middle split video thx!

  • if it hurts (seems like), try doing it step by step starting from one leg kept still and the other laid 90 degrees to the other. Than, just increase the angle little by little to the point where it hurts. Don't push it so much and be careful about it. You may injure yourself in a heartbeat. Try stretching every day and just don't skip any session. You'll see the difference. İt's not that hard...

  • thank you. it takes me long just because i really can't stretch everyday, i wish i could. don't worry i never push too much with anything, i know how the results can be :( i will continue to be very careful and tender with stretching to avoid injuries, thank you.

  • aaa siz de Türk'müşsünüz yeni fark ettim yorum için teşekkürler :)

  • I can do a left split.

  • Omg, I love your leggings! I wish my straddle split was that impressive! Guess I should keep stretching, lol.

  • thanks a lot. mine is not a % 100 split yet but close. keep stretching but be careful too!

  • does it hurt you when u do it. how did u learn.

  • a little bit, not too much. I've been working with a coach for 2 years, I learnt the proper warm up and stretching methods from my coach.

  • Im almost there, I go all the way down its just that I sit but it still hurts.

  • now that's impressive. I can also go down in splits but not really as good as you. Mine kinda hurts a bit when i do it so i usually dont do it, but i'm still pretty flexible

  • thank you. my splits still hurt a little bit too, they're still not easy and fast and it took me a lot of time and work to get them done. I am sure if someone else spent the time and effort that i've done, she would have progessed more. thanks for your comment :)

  • getting there=)

  • i think its cool how ppl dont talk mess about your stuff and how you reply bak to every one. i dont even no aboute ice skating n stuff just noticed that.your so nice :D

  • Thank you very much. Sometimes a few people leave insulting or arrogant comments too, I just delete them. All kind and reasonable comments are welcome and I try to reply all of them and some people give very useful advices. You're so nice too :)

  • do you generally have your trainer push u on your back to get your chest on the floor?

  • sometimes. it's up to her, when she finds it necessary...or sometimes she pulls my arms to get me down more.

  • do u also do the butterfly stretch?

  • sorry i dont know what butterfly stretch is...

  • when you have the soles of feet together and someone pushes down on your knees and back.

  • ok, i know that stretch, i just didnt know its name. i do that already for a long time, my feet touch my groin and my knees touch the floor and i can touch my feet with my head. So, its a normal stretch for me, I need a more advanced stretch than the butterfly to make my middle split % 100.

  • have u tried the stretch with your trainer opening your legs apart while lying on your back? I know it must be painful but it's good.

  • yes she did that to me before and sometimes she still does. I hate it- it feels terrible, sometimes I feel like i'd break into pieces, but I know it's necessary.

  • sometime trainers use ropes to do that. How do u cope with the pain? do u cry? lol

  • mine doesnt use any rope. no i don't cry, it's not that much pain.

  • that's excellent... so jealous!

  • oh thank you but dont be jealous it's a matter of working hard regularly and still I have a long way to go to achieve a full middle split... :)

  • This is very good! Keep up the hard work. You are truly an inspiration for me.

  • thanks a lot!

  • Based on the other progress you've shown I would *assume* that this one is equally impressive, however for the sake of comparison it might be a good idea to either point the camera down at yourself while you do this *or* have your torso/pelvis oriented parallel to the floor. Right now you can't really tell how good your splits are in this video.

  • You're right.unfortunately there was noone at home to help me point the cam down at myself to show the angle of the legs. I've a shot where I had my torso parallel to the floor, and I'm like 30 cm away but that shot was not so suitable to put on youtube, i shot it just to have an idea on how far i'm away from the floor. I cant do a full middle split yet, i can get about 160 degrees so I still have some way to go, but thats not so bad either. Thanks for your comment!

  • Ahh but the real question is: how far were you when you started?

  • hahah to be honest i never recorded my middle split attempt before so I cant actually remember. if my memory is not wrong, when i first started in 2006, it wasnt more than 130 degrees. maybe even less but i cant remember actually :)i still dont work on the middle split regularly or often, i focus on the classical splits but somehow regular splits help my middle split automatically...

  • That makes sense. In addition to the fact that some of the same muscles are involved, it's also true that if you've been doing other stretches (like the "butterfly" stretch, for example), the sometimes work on the same abductor muscles that you need to lengthen in order to do the middle splits.
