Hah I watched this on the concert channel from ondemand. He doesn't say much to the crowd other than "Hey!" or "Hi!". He definitely let the guitar do a lot of the talking for him.

I'm a fan of SRV but recognize most of the blues, rock or jazz artist are involved in drugs. That's life!
