  • Muito comando, igual ao meu

  • tail heavy

  • The center of gravity was way off and it looked tailheavy

  • Did anyone die?

  • never seen an rc jet with a motor like that witha outdoor prop

  • If it only had real jet engines. XD

  • Aaaaarrrggh !

  • thatscalled the oh my god i'm tail heavy high rates poop shootin boogey

  • i just flew my edf today and crashed while performing a split s haha

  • can you tell me who makes this plane?i bought a used one and i need to get a set of plans.

    Thank You

    Rich

  • Nooooooooooooob

  • ........noob

  • If you ain't crashin ...you ain't flyin.

  • No, the opposite. If you're crashing, you ain't flying.

  • hahahahahahaha

  • oopsie doodle!!;-)

  • its an RC plane u retard hes probably a beginner im a flier myself . the angels are awesome. hes not discracing hes just having fun GET OVER IT.

  • lol you make it sound like u fly real planes u faggot, dont think your a pilot just cuz u fly junky little toys. loser!!!

  • i never said i did but i do take a pilots course. so shut the hell up i bet u cant even tell the difference between a Beech baron and a Beech Bonanza i study planes.bitch. and yes i do fly i just flew a Citation i think either a 4 or 5.

  • @linkinparkrocker44 If you did just fly a Citation was it the mustang or the bravo. If you really flew the Citation or really know anything about aviation you would be able to answer this question. what dash number engine is on the Cessna Caravan?

  • the code was ill have to ask my brother but ill get back to u on that.

  • If you don't know without asking your brother then you are trying to pull one on us here.

  • This is bound to happen when an less experienced RC Pilot operates and aircraft above there league so t speak. The hornet has a negative dynamic stability and to couple that to a CG problem the crash was inevitable,

  • Demaciado mando en los alerones y centro de gravedad corrido hacia la nariz...FATAL....!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ouch, bad crash. my hornet crashed into a wall. went out of range. it never flew again.....

  • I'm not an aero major, but isn't the Hornet as well as all high performance jets built to be unstable for maneuverability? With the assistance of several computers, the flight controls can be manipulated for stable flight. But without...the result is predictable, right?

  • have you ever flown anything else before?

  • yeh im starting out with a scratch foamy cheaper to learn how to build and set up the plane.

  • the suspense

  • He needs to pratice on a cheaper plane then learn to manuver it. It took off in a crazy mode. Such a beautiful plane for a lost like that.

  • stupid

  • did u put a car moror on that thing and add a prob to it-cus it sound like my nitro car :]

  • nice flying......

  • I can't believe he gave up and said "it's down" before he even crashed. C of G looked too far back. What a shame.

  • hhhmmmm, if you ever open an airline I'm not ever going on it, at least not without a parachute

  • your a horrible flyer, so should have spent that money on a hooker instead, dummy

  • a lil duck tape and some glue and you will be in the air in no time ;)

  • try flying a trainer first before flying an expert model

  • whats that?? alien the 8th passenger?

  • dude that was not electic ducted fan..

  • Drunk pilot?

  • lol at first i thought the car an it over lol

  • Seriously tail heavy. You know CG machines are like $15 from Tower Hobbies.

    Oh well lesson learned.

I can say this because I've made the same mistake. You dont often repeat it.

It was a nice plane, hope you rebuild and have another go.

  • Bastard!! 'Em SAMS can be a real nuisance. Obviously someone oughta tell him the Wild Weasels gotta do the 'sweep' first...

  • shouldve gotten edf.

  • well i'll defend Butch because the second flew well I know I was there

  • Man that thing looks hard to fly. I'm going to stick to electric touring cars ;)

  • go down to your local hardware store and go buy some duck tape and just put it back together

  • That thing was doomed the moment it left the ground

  • CG was way offf.

  • get the CA and Gorrilla glue. next time, check out the center of balance

  • $5 prop....big deal no need to cry bout it

  • where did u get it? i have a raptor and i would really like to have a hornet

  • The hornet was built from plans from RCM Magazine April 1991. Plan#1089 (60) and 1090 (40).

  • Butch, maybe you should stick to model trains/?

  • At least you could have done to the description was to put "RC"

  • now u have mixing sitcks jack ass

  • What a nice guy

  • get some glue.. thatswhat i did when i crashed mine 8 times. lasted a while

  • im so sure now im never gonna buy 1 of those.

  • Eject, eject, ejec....oh well....NURSE!!

  • better luck next time broke my plane today i was proper annoyed mine only cost £100 not much of a loss

  • pretty cool-maybe a little more time with the simulators?

  • ya, it was early in my fling abilities I've gotten better and still need to work in other areas

  • So, what was the weight of the second plane? Where is the CG? Does it fly alot nicer. I'm only asking because I'm 80% through a building the same F-18 from RCM plans. Modified mine for a removable wing. Planning on using a Super Tiger 45 with pump. I expect to place some extra weight in the nose.

Where did you get the canopy?

    Jim

  • Jim,

The canopy was found at a hobby store, weight 6 lbs, OS Max .46 used standard muffler turned it around took off back section of muffler replaced w/circular piece of aluminum hole drilled in middle secure to ½ of the muffler & another ¼" or so hole for exhaust. This aloud clearance for prop. Should have bought exhaust I think my setup impacted the engine performance. Cont. 1of3

  • Fuel tank placed in middle of plane w/out pump

worked ok, setup plane to be nose heavy on the 2nd plane, setup a wire skid plate in front of the engine to minimize prop strikes. I made my own landing gear to get the plane as high as I could so at take off I could have enough roll/pitch on takeoff and landings, but still looking right. My plane was all balsa and I had US Navy on the underside if wings, looked really cool when I flash the underside. Cont 2of3

  • Some other suggestions, turn down you elevator rates the plane tends stall, and on takeoff i.e. from left to right, try as fare out as you dare roll down the runway fast as you can (about 100' past you) and gently roll plane up and get some altitude and keep plane near you to trim it, because your blue plane is hard to see on a blue clear sky, at least on the first couple of flights. Best of luck and I would like to hear how your plane works out for you. End 3of3

    Butch

  • thats why im too cheep to fly any thing but parkzone stuff...sick f18 thow

  • No, the CG was really off and I rolled out so far out that I could not see the plane to control it. I should have taken off 60+ feet back from where I did. The 2nd plane that I built was better because I placed some nose weight, which made it fly better.

  • WOW CG? WHATS THAT?

  • Yes you are right the CG was off.

  • ouch, thats gatta hurt

  • Great plane...bad crash. i want to see your new one

  • I will try to bring it out next time we fly so that you can see it.

  • @rlarson3232

I would like to see a video of the second plane too.

    Thanks

    Jim
