  • I heard somewhere your not supposed to use baby wipes that they're bad for your skin but that never made sense to me coz if they're for baby's then they need to be extra soft and sensitive!?

I use the boots own brand wipes (The green ones) coz I find that some of the more expensive ones sting more. I thinks it's the perfume or whatever but they're either too dry or too wet or they just hurt! haha

Thanks for the tip Siobhan! x] xoxo

  • @leanneba15 Well I think the perfumed ones are definitely bad for skin on the face and alcohol isn't ideal for face either but definitely the sensitive ones are ok! x

  • thanks that was a lot of help you see i have very sensitive skin, what shop would you get them, and whatever shop it is is it in dublin 2?

  • @MinecraftMainiaFTW I get them from Dunnes Stores or Tesco! x

  • @LetzMakeup oh ok thats good both of them near my house i will be able to go after school :) thanks

  • I may be looking into something like this for sure! Who knew baby wipes could do the job so well :P

  • Thanks for the tip.

They sound great for my sensitive skin.

I'll switch from the cosmetic wipes to these.

  • @lunabake Well give them a go anyhow! x

  • I've tried baby wipes to remove make up, they irritate my face.

  • @infectxinfectx Many do me too, not the simple ones though!

  • I use Vichy Normaderm cleansing gel, Iuse it for years and I'd never remove my make up with something else. No matter how heavy my make up is, I just rub it onto my face and rinse it off, my face after is super clean, even eaterproof mascara is gone, so I'd reccomend it for anyone who don't like rub their face and remove full make up very quickly.

  • @katOsu I want to try this soon! x

  • I use them - found them in poundland yay!

  • @sairamakeupartist Nice one:) X

  • how could you peel off your false eyelashes like that? I can never do that :(

  • @nicedei It's a latex glue! No bother in removing them at all! x

  • I'm using baby wipes for years too but sometimes i feel like they're not able to take off waterproof make up especially waterproof silicon based gel liner. then i am taking some baby oil and drop a little on my baby wipe ..this makes removing waterproof make up sooo easy..

    :)

  • @AnnaMantzolis I agree:) I do this too! x

  • Simple also do really good make-up removal wipes - thats what i use! :)

  • you recommended these wipes in a previous video so i went out and got some. i thought they were really good especially for my senstive skin because some makeup wipes sting or burn my eyes especially when removing eyemakeup but these are great at removing makeup.

  • @EmerReape Good to hear! x

  • Warm soapy water couldn't be worse than scraping the stuff off with wipes could it?

  • @EdwardFuller78 That's great for after, the wipes are to take the heavy first layer of makeup off first to make cleansing easier!

  • In Canada, the good baby wipes are the Life Brand Unscented Baby Wipes from Shoppers Drug Mart. I have a very similar method to remove my makeup. :)

  • I only use baby wipes, Ive never used makeup remover wipes and i find they remove everything from my mascara to my foundation 100% effectively. I bring babywipes everywhere with me. They are the handiest things ever invented. I use pampers wipes because you can actually get 6 packs in a bumper pack in Tesco for 9 euro and at times 4.99, and they are the most effective for use on my son, so we just share the love haha!

  • @Cordi666 Lol:) Me too! I have so many packs all over my house, ha ha. x

  • What a great tip!! Thanks!

  • Absolutely agree! These are so so so much cheaper, and there are a lot more product in it!!

  • Like you, I love using the Simple wipes for removing the bulk of my makeup. But I can't use these (or any kind of wipe/eyemakeup remover) on the outer corners of my eyes. They get red and sore and most times crack but I have to do it to remove the makeup but I'm worried I'm causing damage. Any recommendations on something softer. Its so annoying. Any suggestions? xx

  • @SeeWhatAFoolIveBeen I'd always use a sensitive makeup remover that's oil based in that case first on the eyes, and then the wipes on the rest of the face.x

  • @LetzMakeup Thanks for the help Siobhan xx

  • Putting something near my eyes that's made for a baby's butt, and not tested for eyes, does not make me want to go out and try this, it just does not sound safe to me.

  • @BEHAPPYITSALLGOOD It's not just for baby bum, it's for all over baby, face included!

  • i love ireland.. i was there last week..!! and finally i could buy urban decay and inglot. how ever i use babyoil to clean my skin..

  • I love the idea of makeup removal videos when you do an involved look

  • I swear by those too! I find makeup wipes so harsh and burn like shit, especially the MAC ones! Yay to inexpensive and effective baby wipes:)

  • I like baby wipes for touchups, cleaning my hands after using my fingers for application, and to get the bulk of makeup off. I use the Target brand (Up & Up) for sensitive skin here in the states. They're alcohol & fragrance-free & are very soft & cloth-like. Thanks for the great videos & tips!

  • @ImHavinaHoot Agree, me too:) x

  • I presonally don't like using babywipes on my eyes - well at start to erease the really easily removable parts, but not the slightest "rubbing" of it on my eyes for sure... otherway I use them too :D found a pretty good one here - I don't know the name (hopefully they won't change packaging - I wouldn't find it then XD) but I prefer makeup remover and cotton pads on my eyes :)

  • i prefer bioderma the best

  • I have eczema, and wipes in general sting my face. ALOT!! The Simple ones are actually a godsend, I don't even have to moisturise afterwards :D

  • My issue with makeup cloths or baby wipes isn't the use of them per se, but the way most people use them as the ONLY step in their cleansing routine. They should be a first or second step, followed by gently massaging the skin with cleanser and water to really get into pores and clean out makeup and dirt. I've worked with several women who have cleared up skin issues simply by following use of wipes with cleansing, or getting rid of them altogether.

  • @LydiaKrow I agree, I only recommend them as makeup remover as the title suggests, I always cleanse after! xx

  • I'm pretty ecstatic that we're using the same brand wipes. Love Simple, been using them since I started getting more interested in make-up

  • make-up remover wipes aren't that expensive in germany... you can get really good ones from the drugstore for 1,35€ (25 wipes) - my favourite ones are by the brand 'balea young'

  • I saw a video by queenofblending where she said baby wipes are bad for your eyes and that she even developed a type of skin problem under her eyes from them. I'm not sure what is true or not now. I guess I'll have to do some research.

  • @MindyLou89 Yes, many are. That's why I specify only using the sensitive ones, alcohol free, fragrance free etc, and road testing them! x

  • @SmilyLily1996 which one do you use?

  • I almost always use waterproof mascara/gel liner so I just put the eye make up remover to the wipe (to a corner that I fold in two, not whole wipe) and use that around the eyes. Need way less make up remover on the wipe that is already moist than on a dry cotton pad. And rest of the wipe I can use on my face that doesn't have the extra make up remover. Easier than getting an extra pad for the eyes and then use a wipe after that.

  • great idea, i use baby wipes a lot! xx

  • I use lancome make up remover the clear white one works well and it's sencitive it's not Geasy at all feels fresh u should try that I feel wipes dry out if ur not carefull we r u put them but u look nice with no make up. Very nice skin

  • oh awesome, i do the same. i use my eyemakeup remover for my waterproof liners and mascara, then i use the baby wipes on the rest of my face.

  • Super helpful thanks !! Will try that !

  • I love using baby wipes for taking off my make up. I also use them to do a quick spot cleaning on my brushes as well sometimes.

  • @CinderellaWithAWhip Actually so do I in a pinch. x

  • Will you be doing any halloween tutorials this year??!!!

Pretty please with a cherry on top??!!!!!

  • @AngelicSlapper Yes, hopefully!!! x

  • I use No. 7 Boots brand make up removing wipes, they're not too expensive and they're amazing!

  • I swear by this ! I've been using baby wipes for over a year now regular makeup removal wipes were getting way to expensive I would go through a back a week ! I love baby wipes for this I recommend it to everyone . It really works !

  • im only 13 and im worried the cashier would give me wierd looks for buying baby wipes and shampoo :( im not a teen mom btw

  • @Gothgirl4370 Ha ha, not at all! x

  • That's anything but quick, and incredibly irritating for those poor models whose faces you're scrubbing all day. Real professionals swear by micelle waters like Bioderma.

  • @Waheyhey1 real professionals?...... ouch?! saucer of milk for two!...

  • I use Huggies was using the ones with aloe and vit e but just ordered (in the ASDA shop) the new ones with shea butter and they were 4 packs for £5 bargain :0) xxxJoolsxxx

  • I got a skin infection because baby wipes damaged the horn of my skin - so u need to be careful.

  • @laurakirwan999 The horn?

  • @laurakirwan999 Yes, there are many baby wipes brands I won't use, just the Simple ones or very sensitive ones that don't pull at the skin. x

  • thanks for the tips n__n

  • how would you recommend removing eyeliner in the upper and lower waterlines for people with sensitive eyes? It bothers me when removing makeup and washing my face and being left over with eyeliner caked into my eyelashes and the next morning having it smeared down my eyelid.

  • @sweetheartfrosty

Use sweet almond oil or coconut oil! :)

They are all natural and are nurturing to your skin and do not irritate.

My eyes are THE most sensitive I've ever seen and I used sweet almond oil all the time.

I use HEAVY liner and mascara so it really takes a lot of work to get it off so I need the easiest product I can get and this does the trick.

I just take a very thin wash cloth, wet it with hot water, then apply the oil on the cloth and start taking it off.

    Good luck! :)

  • @sweetheartfrosty I now use Botanics (By Boots) EyeMakeup remover which is good for sensitive skin too, it's amazing! x

  • @sweetheartfrosty I don't know if your question has already been answered, but what i do to remove eyeliner from the waterlines is to use a slightly damp Q-tip. Using it dry is also ok since the waterline is already wet. It should come off this way, it works for me :)

  • You've just saved a poor student some money! THANKYOU!

I swear by simple products but the price of facewipes is insane for a regular make-up wearer. I tried going cheaper brand wise but I just broke out and they stung my face.

This way I can still use simple, get it cheaper and get a tonne more bigger wipes too :D

  • how do you recomend taking off fake eyelashes? mayb i put to much glue on but they really hurt my eyes specaly when im n a hurry and i have to use alot of make up remover to get them of

  • @LeashRox Well I only use latex glue like duo glue and they just peel off. Don't hurt at all or damage the hairs. I don't recommend any other type of glue. x

  • mine are from a german make up brand and cost about 1 or 2 €... okay, they are extra for make up, but they are really amazing and they smell like pomegranates :D

  • OMG. I am going to use baby wipes from now on. This makes sooo much sense!!!

  • I use Johnson's aloe vera wipes, they're so moist

  • I always buy the Simple Face Wipes and for two packs it's around €5 and you only get 50 wipes between the two packs. Definitely going to search for these, such better value! Thank you!

  • I use baby oil...... It works amazingly and then I clean the residue oil with a face wipe to get the last of it.... =P My way. No big!

  • i've always use baby wipes so yeah for me xD!

  • I swear by baby wipes. I have small children so I use them everyday anyway and after countless times of removing juice mustaches, wiping little hands, and a quick wipe down in the car I started to use them on myself and I use them every night before I take a shower. I think they are great. I saw other makeup wipes in the store the other day and could not believe how much they cost, if you by the refil packs of drugstore brands baby wipes they are about $5 USD for 240 wipes. No comparison!

  • @lrhea83 Little miracle workers if you ask me, lol:) x

  • I heard that baby wipes are really bad for your skin? seeing as they aren't actually designed for removing make-up?

  • @TheHyperOne90 To be honest, I don't see how they can be bad, if they are made for baby skin. It might be the way you use them, like don't scrub harshly with it, use it gently?

  • @FoBCHaRLoTTe96 i think for some people, it worsens milia

  • @amibbdos those white bumps in your pores

  • @amibbdos Aah, ok.

  • @TheHyperOne90 Baby wipes are desinged to clean up a baby's face and body, if you think about it, most of the times babies and kids get dirty with worst things than just makeup (food, dirt, paint and so on) so I guess it isn't a bad option to use it as Shiv is reccomending it. I used to use baby wipes but the good ones avaliable are too expensive so I prefer to use facial wipes from the dollar store.
