These packs [at least the originals] were sold in Woolworth for Christmas . I received several in 1954,1955 and 1956 when I was young. I remember getting Al Kaline and Frank House being a tiger fan. I also remember being pissed when I received a cheklist. Nice if they were originals. Too many shysters flooding the market with fakes.
Whoops, the second you turned it around I unfortunately saw that you most likely got conned. If the candy cane is uniform on both sides like that, you've got a fake. Sometimes you'll get maybe one minor star but mostly nothing but trash in EX to sometimes about NM or so grade.People are way overpaying for this on eBay, then when they found out they got screwed, flip them back on eBay for the next sucker to buy.You probably would've save 95% had you just bought this as a 'lot' and not fake packs
It appears, from emailing the seller, that the Christmas racks were put together around 1963-64. I emailed the source of what appears to be the majority of these Christmas packs who said they were "probably Topps selling off leftovers" but that he could not substantiate that. However he did say that he has seen handfuls of the chase cards pulled so not quote the rip-off you are alluding to. There are, however, real rack packs from 1960
George sparky Anderson is a very good card. His number is retired for the tigers.

How about you try a pair of scissors to open your next rack packs. Just a thought.

@CrazyCWS Your source is way off on his years. These cards were put in packs in the late 70's. There were no rak packs in 1960 only cello.

@CrazyCWS your seller is wrong. these came out in the 70's through very beginning of the 80's
