  • Sounds like a strong 7.3l. And FYI for those out there. Ford did put some of the silver "6.0" badges on the last few '03 7.3ls. Who knows why, maybe it was an accident or maybe they ran out of them on the production line. I am getting a DP Tuner within a week or so and am just trying to decide on which tunes. I am definitely excited. Lastly, anyone who hates on a diesel for not smoking is RETARDED. That black soot is incompletely burn fuel, or WASTED POWER!!!

  • @jmanwild I did a hpop and 2 injectors on my 6.0 and didn't have to pull the cab off the shop I work we had it torn down in a half day

  • What's done in this video I have a 2000 7.3 myself.

  • buggers a lucky one who got one of the last 7.3s, i shall own one :D

  • I bet those straps on the dyno couldnt hold that beast down!

  • it would sound like a jet if it was a 6.0L with straight pipe the 03 turbos sounds nuts on the 6.0.

  • sounds like mine, its a 7.3 guys, listen to the man

  • thats definitely a 7.3, the choppy turbo sound is a dead give away, that and the motor sounds nothing like a straight pipe 6.0 :)

  • what did she run cant put a dyno vid with no numbers lol

    Nice truch forsure though

  • hey robbyrinrin91 im going to be picking up a 2002 or 2003 7.3 and i just have a question. just with the mods you have listed above you got 320hp and 645 flbs torque. im not questioning or challenging you or anything i just want to know if thats all you have done cause i dont want my truck to be a lug. so im just trying to figure out what i want to do to mine. thanks.

  • thumbs up if powerstrokin09 is fucking retarded and needs to get a life

  • @powerstrokin09 man your one stupid mother fucker. If u can't tell the sound difference between a 7.3 and a 6.0 u don't need to be talking shit cause u don't no shit. Who cares if it has a 6.0 badge my buddy has a 2003 with a 7.3 and it has a 6.0 badge. So get your fucking shit right.

  • WTF is all the arguing about; that's a 7.3 plain ans simple. You can tell all diesel motors apart just by the sound.

  • If you honestly cant tell the difference by the sound of a 6.0 and a 7.3 your retarded, its clearly a 7.3L... Tags are easy to change, i did it to mine.

  • No doubt it's a 7.3, you can tell by the sound when it hits higher RPM's. Just because it has a different badge doesn't mean it's a 6.0. I guess I could put a CAT badge on my 97 Powerstroke and powerstrokin09 would think it had a CAT in it! Lmao!

  • pretty clean tunng for a ford

  • U can tell by the sound it's a 7.3.

  • It's a 7.3 ya yitard anyone who knows fords knows that it isn't a 6.0. A 6.0 thumps when u give it a 7.3 is more raspy with more turbo back hush

  • your one dumb fucker is you think its a 6.0

    thats a 7.3

it dont matter if it roals coal or not

i got a 7.3 mod that doesnt roll coal the turbo cleans it first

    my 6.0 roals coal

    my cummins roals coal

know your shit before you talk

  • What size tires are those?

  • @tbucketracing 37x13.50

  • i agree with robby :) BUT !! haha .. My dad has a 1999 f250 7.3 powerstoke(turbo) and it sounds fuckin nice !! and now that we fixed it up ( bigger intake, bigger intake caps, better turbo, and added some computer shit and put a straight pipe it has 623 pounds of torque :) .. anywas that fukhead who says it was a 6.0 is fuken dumb ass fuck !

  • thats a 6.0 unless u put a 7.3 in it.....

  • @powerstrokin09 No... its a 2003 7.3

  • @powerstrokin09 why the fuck would you argue with me about my own truck?? Whoever had the truck before me changed the badges for some reason. Dont fucking argue with me about my own truck because you know nothing about it. and when they did the dyno run they never turned my chip up, so it barely smoked. check out my stack video in my profile and watch the COAL and listen to the sound and u will hear its a fucking 7.3. Fucking know it all people who make themselves look so dumb.

  • @robbyrlnrln91 thats definitely a 7.3. no 6.0 sounds like that. nice truck.

  • @powerstrokin09 and if you know so much you should be able to listen to my exhaust in this video and hear its a 7.3.

  • @robbyrlnrln91 that powerstrokin09.... any diesel guy knows a 6.0.. raspy. 7.3's sounds.. well like yours. haha

  • @robbyrlnrln91 YEAH TURN UP THE HEAT!

  • @robbyrlnrln91 ya it is a 7.3L no doubt, I have a 2001 7.3L (same style, extended etc.) and it has the same sound, the 6.0 are almost noisier and have a more brappy sound to them. Thats a nice looking truck though!

  • @robbyrlnrln91 lol its definitely a 7.3 with 6.0 badges, you would hear the turbo way more if it was a 6.0, nice truck btw

  • @robbyrlnrln91 yup! 6.0's sound better! but not worth the problems :s

  • @jmanwild Headstuds and a egr delete will get rid of nearly all the 6.0's problems.

  • @Pbtbreakingpoint yeah but headstuds n egr delete =like 4 grand at a shop.

    plus injectors are bad.

  • @jmanwild A quality pair of headstuds is a grand and the egr delete is no more than $150. A shop wouldn't charge anything near 4 grand to put them in... maybe 1400-1500, headstuds really are not that hard to install and most people can do it on their own.

As far as the injectors being bad in those trucks, never heard of that being a problem once...

  • @Pbtbreakingpoint i;ve only got 2 friends with 6.0. one is currently driving it with blown headgasket, cause he owes about 9 grand from repair. (i assume blown HG cause he's gettin crap milage and compression in his coolant. (sprays coolant out, so i told him to run it with the cap loose, and see how long it goes)

both of them have done injectors twice.

In canada, parts are a lot more expensive..

injectors replaced at a diesel shop are close to 4 grand. Beats the 5400 on a duramax though.

  • @jmanwild It's easy to say that. Either way, anyone with half a brain would order injectors from the US and put them in themselves, you can get a decent set for 1500 and they only take a few hours to put in. But I really doubt that he has gone through 2 sets of injectors unless he abuses that truck like no tomorrow... the biggest reason why those injectors go is from running dirty oil through them since they run at such a high psi.

  • @Pbtbreakingpoint no the unreliability comes from poor fuel filtration. and unlike an easy to work on 7.3, (yes, i've worked on a lot of 7.3's) you have to pull the body on a 6.0 for injectors. which isn't a "couple hour job"

and no, niether of them has the tools or knowledge to do injectors.

(buying the necessary tools would cost more then 4 grand)

that, plus the 2 days of downtime, its just not worth the hassle. save the money, buy a 7.3 or cummins. even 7.3's need injectors occasionally.

  • @jmanwild you dont have to pull the body to do injectors on a 6.0 powerstroke and there aint really any special tools you would need other than what a good tech should have. I work on 7.3s my self but i have worked on 6.0s and we can put a whole set of injectors in a 6.0 in a day.

  • @jrobinson5093 i'll believe it when i see it. your suggesting these people do injectors in their driveway with little to no tools for under the cost of a shop, in a day?

no. In a fully equipped shop, it might be able to be done. (with a hoist its a full day job for 2 people)

A duramax i can do singlehandedly in a day. (its a 12.7 hour flat rate job)

heck i could do it in a driveway in that time.

6.0 needs removal of the heater box and its still DAMN tight. they r just inconvenient is all.

  • @jmanwild I didnt say any one can do them in a day but someone with a lil knowledge and maybe who has done a few could. hell all we ever take off is the ficm, degas bottle, valve cover, and oil manifold on the drivers side, and on the other side just the valve cover and the oil manifold.

  • @robbyrlnrln91 Ya i would have to agree its a 7.3, sounds like one anyway, and i also have an 03 7.3, last partial year of em, they were also supposed to have 300 hp

  • @powerstrokin09 are you dumb? thats a 7.3 you just made a fool out of yourself with your smart ass comment

  • @mike12392 go somewere else and talk shit with ur keyboard.............DUMB ASS

  • @powerstrokin09 and u can trust me i have a truck very similar to it its an '03 1/2.... its mix match year.... body of a 6.0 with 7.3 drive train

  • @powerstrokin09 your a absolute dumb ass thats for sure jus listen to the sound its a 7.3 jus because there is 6.0 tags on it doesnt mean its a 6.0 very nice sounding 7.3 by the way

  • @powerstrokin09 The 7.3 also had these tags. my buddy has a 01 7.3 intercooled with these same tag.

  • @powerstrokin09 I do believe some of them got those badges, even though they had a 7.3

  • @powerstrokin09 it is a 7.3 my 2001 7.3 and it has the same tag on the door they never change them not all 7.3 smoke my smoke my does bc it has a 110 hp chip and twin turdo.

  • @powerstrokin09 even though you just got owned, the 6.0 is more powerful then the 7.3 but less reliable and less tourque. 7.3 is more reliable with more tourque but less poerful. 7.3= best diesel engine ever.

  • @monserenergy700r that was just nonesence, lol bro the 6.0 makes more hp and torque but is very unreliable.

  • @powerstrokin09 If you knew.....why did you ask? Simple logic, out the window......

I have a 7.3, with a proper tuning, and it doesn't roll coal aside from letting off the clutch at a dead stop, Smoke, is wasted, un-burnt fuel, not so much POWER.

  • @powerstrokin09 not all people want it to "roll coal"

  • @powerstrokin09 Hey shit brick you have no idea what you are talking about if you knowed your truck motors like you think you do then you could just listen to it and tell that its a 7.3

  • @robbyrlnrln91 ya 7.3 7.3s have so much power

  • @powerstrokin09 sorry bro you can tell by the soundof the exhaust that its a 7.3

  • @powerstrokin09 your a fucking moron. why would you argue with somebody about his own truck?

  • @powerstrokin09 u dont know ur p stoke to well if that sounds like a 6.0 or you need your hearing checked that sccreamed 7.3 bro

  • @powerstrokin09 Yeah it's a 2003 7.3...I have one.

  • @powerstrokin09 Just listen to it. Its definitely a 7.3L

  • My "shits 0" puts out 445hp 800lbft with similar mods, but who's counting....

  • 7.3l powerstroke ext. cab short bed is honestly the cleanest ford ever made! cant wait to see a lifted a 2010 6.7l powerstroke on the road!

  • a shits 0 ''6.0 comes with 325 and 600 . not 300

  • what setup do you have there? its a nice height...how much lift?......sharp truck

  • iIs an 8 inch BDS lift with 37"x13.50 Toyo M/Ts

  • What kind of mpg you geting

  • probably around 11 or 12 city and 17 or so highway

  • the new all ford diesels make 700 FT-LBS of torque

  • WOW a portable dyno, why didnt I think of that??

  • yes they are close. 6.0's come with 300hp and 600 trq stock but when they did my dyno run they left it in overdrive so my nubmers were less than they should be, not to mention the 37 inch tires

  • 315hp

  • isn;t you hp and tq numbers a 6.0 stock? or at least around

  • his is 250 stock, like my 7.3 but its not stock no more.

  • No DP is not Diablo Sport it is a whole completely different brand of chip. DP Tuner is the actual brand if your looking for it.

  • DP= Diablo Sport??

  • Thanks, for the numbers. 7.3 rock
