Because of the the highly sophisticated jazz chords in the original by Take 6, singing well but doing simpler harmonies makes it hard for people who've heard the original to appreciate it as much. @pragmatic0318 True. But look at it this way, even though Take 6 set the standard and completely kilt it, the Braxron sisters did a very good job themselves. Sure they didn't sing not nearly all the chords but that song is like 5:00 and this is only a few seonds. PLus the girls's harmony's are quite amazing. I do agree this isnt in the same league as Take 6 but it's a start and given the chance to sing the whole song I'm sure they'd knock us away. But it isn't a comparison just a lil test

I luv it.. towanda hold that tenor section down though, but when toni is in on it she bring the the hell out them 2nd tenor bariton notes, I never really saw a woman sing em like toni does ... I think they should swop trina and traci though. traci to me is stronger as an alto. and trina should sing sopran wit tamar cause she is strong as well in both alto and soprano, However i do take my hat off to tamar as the lead soprano, she gotta be strong to cover those other 4 strong voices!

He added that extra layer of voice that was really needed. I've been listening to all of their Christmas CD's. I love "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen!" Selling is so different (like I am in the music industry). haha. From what singers in the business are saying, you really don't make money like you used to. Very few sell CDs.

During that time of music, my main groups were Commissioned, The Winans and Take 6. Had a chance to hangout with backstage with Take 6 while Warren was in the group. They were humble, not stand-offish like other singers. As far as Toni goes, you're right about artists not making the $ they used too. Toni would have to tour w/them.

@kennesaw1 I think that just comes from knowing whose sings what part in the group. Tamar/Traci are both the sopranos (although Traci sometimes switches between soprano/alto depending if Tamar is singing lead), Trina sings alto within the group and Towanda/Toni sing the tenor parts.
