Look up the Tegra by NVIDIA. It's a cell phone coming out second half of 2009. They have videos of people playing Quake 3 and Call of Duty 2 on it. It's a touch screen too. (Half as expensive as the iPhone)

It's great knowing how people / companies have made a few racing games near exactly like this already. Such as GTferarri where you can even use a wheel. And companies have been making these kind of game apps for months now. This in a way was a great prediction of what we would see about a year after this video being made.

the problem is, sometimes your fingers would be blocking the screen, and you can't see where you're going. a solution to this would be limiting the game screen to a smaller boundary, and have the remaining gamespace exclusively for your control mechanism. another issue would be the lack of tactile feedback. we naturally look for a physical feedback when we touch a button, but with the smooth screen of the iphone, this is an impossibility.

I've thought about it it's a great concept for other consoles let's say psp2 that would be like itouch so the buttons woun't take screen space (they take about 2-3 inches which could make the screen much bigger or the console itself much smaller). that's a great idea
