@DDIISSEE - First off the 75th ranger reg is considered a special operations light infantry force. it is under spec ops command or "socom". special forces is different from rangers. they can operate the same way but sf is its own thing, 75th ranger reg is its own thing but they are not the same. a ranger is a ranger belonging to the 75th RR. a special forces soldier is an sf operative part of one of the 7 sf battalions. And I would know because my army contract has 11x MOS option 40 aka "ranger"

SF=US Army Special Forces/Green Berets; SOF= SF, 75th Ranger Regiment, MARSOC, PJs/CCTs, 160th, etc.
