  • dam it,i want to be eric clapton.

  • Great song

  • This Riff and the one of "Wild child" by The Doors are similar

  • @evangelionale dude there are like 100 similar riffs, its the blues man!

  • KILLER RIFF!

  • tony palmer used footage from both concerts (the earlier one where EC used the firebird and final one where he used the ES335) from that evening. however, the music was all from the second concert (except white room which strangely was from the first gig). it was a strange trick - didn't really work - but that was the 60s for you. both eric and jack obligingly wore the same gear for both shows - but ginger didn't!

  • these pseudo musicians today should take a look and then step back into the dark where they belong.

  • get into my big black carrrr

  • sick track, lovin the vibe.. on a side note the young clapton looks like the footballer lionel messi, anyways great to hear the classics, this is how music should be

  • blah blah blah Clapton. blah blah blah Page. blah blah blah Clapton. blah blah blah Page. blah blah blah Clapton. blah blah blah Page. blah blah blah Hendrix.

Listen to Peter Green. A true inspiration but a tragic story.

  • I love the way Clapton fluffs the intro riff (deliberately perhaps?) but that one different note works quite well!!!

  • what happens at minute 2:47 that video take was making not that song, because if you pay attention you'll hear that Clapton is doing the solo, and if you look at minute 2:47 we see that only makes chords.

lo que pasa en el minuto 2:47 fue una toma que no era de esa cancion, porque si prestas atencion vas a escuchar que clapton esta haciendo el solo,y si miras en el minuto 2:47 se ve que solo hace acordes.

  • The problem is that the engineers mixed two different concerts videos as one.

  • not only is he only playing chords

    he is playing white room

and he is playing his firebird haha

  • @bluesonrock lol he is playing the solo, he's bending all the notes on the higher strings, nothing wrong with fingering chord shapes, that's what I do when I play solos, makes it better for improvising other notes in.

  • @bluesonrock If you pay attention, it's not even the ES 335's head stock there lol

  • firebird at 2.47?

  • Wow, de lo mas chingón de Cream!!!!

Wow, one of the damn best of Cream!!!!

  • canzone stupenda!

    great song!

  • awesome strong voice. dunno y this song turns me on xD

  • Best stripping song... EVAH!

  • lol. thats what i feel i wanna do when it's playin. and i think Bruce here has a hidden naughty meaning as well ;)

  • Might be a good idea, depending on how easy on the eye that goes...

  • hell yeah sexy!

  • Great song, Cool guitar

  • Terrific!

  • this is great.

  • Reckon this is an excellent "sleaze" rock song !!! brilliant.

  • I think that the studio version s in D flat but this is certainly just in the key of D

  • This song's make me crazy...drunked

  • What key is this song in?

  • I think it's in D.

  • Thank You. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • D flat:)

  • Did they tune down?

  • nope!

  • @Hippie465

    The one oasis never found.

  • Ive never seen this..truly flabergasted.

  • Love this song.

  • Awesome...............................

  • Great song! Too bad about the terrible camera angles and subject focus. Horrible camera work!!!

  • yeah and Bruce's bass teacher said he would never amount to anything-ha!!!!!

  • at 2:44 on Baker's toms-are those snare rims on 'em?I swear they are, they have the snare tie holders on the batter head if you look closely.

  • lol... drummers

  • lol... drummers

  • camera director sucked. u can't see clapton perform his solo

  • yeah the cameramen for Cream were always terrible

  • thats why this video was an outtake. the camera director was higher than clapton was.

  • Jack and Baker kinda pushed Clapton to be a better improv player.

  • agreed. If you have Baker behind you you improve very quickly

  • Agreed, Clapton lose without Bruce and Baker

  • Ever hear 461 Ocean Blvd

  • YOU SAID IT VERY NICE !!! i keep that in mind...

  • coffe isnt that bad without cream :(

  • SRY folks i dont use cream only listen to them hehehehehe

  • clapton is GOD you stupid fuck. go hide yourself in your mothers skin.

  • That was funny...however, the British White guys took the delta blues and moulded it into their own thing. At the beginning, they did just nick alot, but further on into the 60's the Brits developed thier own stuff.

  • Your a fuck head

  • your a pimply faced guitar queer.

  • Who would have done a better job than Eric Clapton?

  • I could have killed for that lead singer haha

    I love you Jack Bruce <3 <3 <3

  • Do you wanna get in Trouble with me?! ;)

Clapton was God at this Time...

  • umm....what? im not saying hes the leader but its kind of what completes the package

    bruce- killer bass player

    baker- fantastic drummer

    clapton- GOD

all of this creates crazy fucking jams man

  • thats why they were called cream b/c they were the cream of the crop

  • fuck off to a green day video

  • i just want you to die. thats all. you dont even deserve the explanation why youre a cunt i gave the other guy, just go grab a rifle, load it up, point it to your forehead and paint your fucking ceiling with your new mouth hole. just do it.

  • This world would have been better without you. Clapton is God

  • nice riff

  • i recently saw "song remains the same" and as a growing musician it doesn't do it for me as much as cream does it for me now. You can't compare Jack Bruce to JPJones or Billy cox/Noel Redding _ no comparison to Baker and Bohnham, Michelle... and as a LIVE Band?... forget about it; Cream WAS the cream of that era. Everybody else i've mention made a great contribution and made some tight studio tracks ... but Cream was the best LIVE band period.

  • Hear hear dude. They were the best. They were the 'Cream' of all the other bands of that era, as well as the 'Cream' of the crop of musicians out of London. If it wasn't for Cream, the Jimi Hendrix Experience probably would've never happened. I wonder at times how different it would be if Cream never was. What a legacy!!

  • The song remains kinda sucks in my opinion. Buy the how the west was won cd and dvd. on the dvd i really liked the 1969 denmark perfomance.

  • hmmm yeah i agree with you, but the song remains the same is orgasmic.

  • damn fucking straight man

  • Both bands are great. Zeppelin stayed together longer. But Cream is a good band too. they came first so they helped start the Blues-Hard rock thing.

  • Check out this song played with Rory Gallagher! It's kick ass!

  • Man, this is just inredibly heavy as fuck... and when you think it's from 40 years ago... fuggetaboutit !!!

  • Bruce best bassist of the 60s! Crossrhoads and badge! JPJ Great musian. bass lemon song, in my time of dying. keyboards kismar, your time is gonna come! they both should be respected!

  • i love led zeppelin and cream and jimmy page and clapton are just very hard to compare Page stairway, heartbreaker clapton crossrhoads politician. also bohnam and baker men who I respect its hard to think which one is better toad or moby dick! everway they are talented and should be respected even if you dont like cream or zeppelin. all of them should be respected!

  • BluesRockRevival...u have a point dude....i rate Cream Higher than Led Zep....infact someimes i feel Free are a better band....i dont think Bonham is better than Bakrer or indeed Mitch Mitchell from the Experience...is a shame that bands like Cream are not held in the same league. x

  • This forumla is never to be topped. The original Power Trio!

  • Power Trios are the SHIT!!! Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Grand Funk, Beck, Bogert and Appice, is there anyone else that I'm forgetting?

  • ZZ Top

  • Word.

  • best band EVER.....all others please put yer instruments down and back away slowly......

(and isnt JACK the sexiest we bugga ye EVA saw?!!!

  • LOVE this clapton phase

    he looks so adorableee

  • I love cream.....One of the all time best

  • dodo-dodo-dodododo-dodo wahbingdidadadadodida

  • Lol, that's all I can think of when I hear it now. I hope you're happy.

  • the three instruments lead a solo during the song and it sounds in harmony.great improvization from the Cream.

  • On the album Goodbye Cream...Politician version was from the CandleStick park concert in San Francisco a month prior...and Claptons lead was perfect..I think he used a Gibson Firebird...this version is sloppy.

    G

  • Personally I think cream are much more important in the progression of musical trends, one of the leading bands bringing all these genres together and making it main stream, without cream hendrix would of not of been as big.

Cream opened the gates for all these new styles

  • I love zep because page is sloppy and plant is a prick we all make the love go round

  • Awesome song! I think it's about the finnish minister of foreign affairs, Ilkka "Ike" Kanerva. Could it be? Are you guys familiar with his story? I mean he really is the character from this song...

  • Are you freaking kidding how about 300 million albums with ten albums...thats crazy good like ZEPPELIN wereway better then Cream

  • Dude they both kick ass.. Say Zeppelin is better than fall out boy or any band nowadays. Not cream though.. Never try and make cream look uncool.. it's just not going to happen. I love zeppelin too by the way

  • That is very untrue... Cream inspired and influenced Led Zeppelin. If it weren't for Cream opening up the gates of hard rock, Led Zeppelin may have had a different style. Cream opened the way for late sixty's bands like Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple. They're both great bands.

  • Sounds like it could in this year with U.S. Presidential Election.

  • how come we dont really get to see claptons guitar was that done on purpose so as not to give away his technique secrets or something wish we could get a group shot

  • He keeps switching between a Firebird and an ES-335. Looks like they spliced in video footage from other songs to make the video work.

  • just fantastic!!!

  • Led Zeppelin. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Milli Vanilli. Mr. Eric "Slowhand" Clapton, "If you wanna hang out...". Niggas with Attitudes. Pavarotti. The fuckin geeks man, listen, listen it's the geeks. Music and musicians are so godlike.

  • you , sir, are fucked in the head

  • your perverted

  • actually its spelled "you're" as in "you are" and im not perverted your name is 'johnnycondom' for fucks sake condoms are for sailer and queers man do it raw

  • lol twat

  • i dont wanna hear another person even fuckin mention led zeppelin on this page its a cream video people came here to trip out to the Cream nephew

  • yeah drako both the bands are awesome, personally i like zeppelin better but cream is fuching awesomw

  • You should check out some Zep bootlegs. "Whole Lotta Love" had all kinds of improvisation and medleys. More than any other song it was different almost every night. "No Quarter" could be jazzy, bluesy or classical depending on JPJ's wont for the evening. "Steppin'Out" or "Toad" just aren't quite as good. Zep called Cream and raised the ante.

  • i have PLENTY of Zep bootlegs. Dazed and Confused can be charted, since all they really did was incorporate the same riffs every night. Whole Lotta Love had the same James Brown-esque jamming in the middle form night to night as it would segue into the theramin section. NQ was definately more improvisational, but it still didnt go to a wholly new place every time

  • Led Zeppelin was a great band, but Cream was from a different planet man.

    Cream > Led Zeppelin

  • uh, i have listened to about 30 different versions of "Dazed" and as far as improvisation goes, its extremely limited and uncreative compared to what Cream was doing. I aint saying it wasn't great, but compared to Cream its nothing. the members of Zep made a really big deal out of their improvs which werent really that sectacular. Cream was like a post-modern jazz band, every night actually WAS different. ANYTHING could happen. With Zep it was fairly predictable

  • I went into Guitar Center the other day and was frightened by the unimaginative shit being scratched out of the amps from these stupid-ass kids today. Have they all lost their fucking mind!? I mean I'm 26 so I didn't grow up with Cream, but once you hear real music like that how can you listen to the garbage these "rockers" put out today?

  • The feeling's mutual. Your regular dose of crappy and/or souless metallica covers and Steve Vai want to be's; terrible service. Haven't been there in forever. Fight the power, support your local music dens and bands, amen.

  • I was watching this video on acid a while back and it got so intense that i almost turned it off.

  • lol yeah man i always watch this cream video under heavy drugs. you do LSD? where in the states are you located? im from toronto you cant get real 'cid here anymore its all designer drugs and chemicals and "e" no bloody good ol fashion acid what kind did you do

  • I'm from Ohio. Honestly if you know the right people it's fairly easy to get in major cities. I've been hearing that legit hits are damn near impossible to come by in Toronto. Around here they vary from weak blotter to high power gels. The gels turned the music into intense vibrations of energy and cacophony when I viewed this video. It was actually life changing now that I think about it.

  • man im jealous if i ever got my hands on some 'cid the first thing id do once it started to take effect is sit my ass down and crank the volume on some old cream videos

  • Cream was so damn good ..but Claptpon later said ego, youth and riding that horse was the ultimaye doom ...Jack Bruce ..amazing voice and bass player ..never got his due ..my opinion

  • Amazinnggggg drumming

  • OUTSTANDING drumming!!!

  • I am lucky I seen Jack and Ginger at te 23rd E cabaret in Philly,Pa and have both their autographs on an old pipc of Ginger playing at teh Hyde Park blind Faith concert.

  • i wanna just show ya what my politics are...

  • I support the left, but I'm leanin' leaning to the Right!

  • PROOF CLAPTON IS THE ULTIMATE GUITAR GOD 2:30-4:45 play it LOUD

  • Zep did fill the vacuum left by Cream and the Jeff Beck group. The music on "Houses of The Holy" and "Physical Graffiti" just to mention two, clearly supersedes everything that Cream did.

  • lol, clearly? Zeppelin had their strengths and weaknesses, but Cream did some stuff that Zeppelin attempted and frankly failed at.

    i.e. extended improvisational sections

  • LZ did not "attempt" to do extended improvisational sections. Their live shows just featured solo sections, which were more "set" and structured because the jazz influence was less in LZ than in Cream. The more you attempt to compare the two, the more you miss the essence of both. They were 2 different musical concepts, both great in its own way.

  • I disagree. The problem is comparing such different music as "Houses of The Holy" and "Physical Graffiti" and Cream. Also, LZ didn't fill anyones vacuum but carved their own niche. They were all about dynamics, light & shade, and drama. Cream was about FLOW - in every way. Both are fucking GREAT. Why do we have to argue?

  • Gawddamnnnnnnnnnnnnnn....... i l.o.v.e CREAM....sooooooo effin' muchh - every TIME im gobsmacked - they can SO P.L.A.Y. Howz that middle jam..whew!! Aint nothing better (for me!) ...Jack is simply brilliant here. He wrote the song,he owns that EB-3 bass, his voice is so passionate AND he's havin SO much fun.Eric whips it up on that solo,eh?? & NO other drummer than Ginger could sit in that chair with these two! Life's GEWD...

  • Oh hell yeah - this band just rules, even still after all these years.

  • i love jack's voice in this. sounds like a wildman.

  • Like a soul yeti, or blues sasquatsch! so goood!

  • Jack's a damn good bassist, really the best in the world, and Ginger is "f***in a" incredible.Gotta be the best drummer in the world considering his age and all he's been through. Both of these guys put so much heart into their playing.I was so lucky to see 'em at the 23'rd E cabaret in Philly in 1990.

  • RE: "outlaw wolf 621" O.K., you're fucked in the head man 1.jimmy page sucks 2.jeff beck is a douchebag and he sucks 3. Hendrix may be on par with Clapton but you have to consider the reason he came to england in the first place was to see Clapton 4,5,6,7,8 not even worth mentioning they all suck especially bloomfield and RT what queers

  • I totally disagree with you Zoo. At the Reunion it´s EC who showed the higest level, listen to Were going wrong or Stormy Monday, absolut breathtaking. Just IMO

  • This is great. All three at the top of their game here. You can watch the reunion version of this wong and see how their skills have declined...especially clapton.

  • I was about 5 feet from Jack when he and Ginger wereat the 23'rd E. cabaret in Philly on 12/8/90 and he plays the hell out of those basses.he is one well versed bassist.Probably the best in the world.Second only to Andy Fraser in Free and Jaco Pastorious.Yeah, when Jack plays,it sends shivers up and down your spine.Kinda like that girl said sexy,I guess if that's what she meant.Bad ass song,Politician.Anyone lookin for a drummer in lower bucks county,e mail me.

  • the farewell cream concert had possibly the worst camera angles of their videotaped career but the awesome sound more than makes up for the shitty cinematography and cream is a thousand times better than zeppelin end transmission

  • I seen Ginger and Jack live in 1990 at the 23rd E cabaret in Philly Pa while Clapton was playing the Spectrum, sad,he could have gotten his limo over and reformed that night but he did'nt.I was disappointed.I still say there were a few people better than Clapton,Hendrix,Paul Kossoff from Free,Mike bloomfeld,Jeff beck, and yes Jimmy Page.

  • That must have been an awesome show. I like to have Cream in my ears......

  • Look,Clapton has been holding on to the best guitarist in the world shit since john Mayall's bluesbreakers in 1965,plus he had that sympathy angle from his kid dying fallin out the window and him taking legal heroin in England for 21 years, there are at least 6 guitarists in my book who are as good if not better than him.

  • your book is your book. Nothin wrong with that

  • who are the 6

  • At least, Jeff Beck...

  • led zeppelin/cream. they werer all part of the hard rock and blues genre. they are both cery high quality bands and there's always room for two at the top...

  • (L)

  • Jack Bruce is the greatest rock and roll bass player of all time. That's why youtube name is jackbruce. The end.

  • this is to all you zep freaks don't get me wrong i love 'em but page played way too many notes and is one of the sloppiest players ever ....have you ever seen his name on a greatest player list??? yes they ripped off some of the greats how else you gonna get famous after going to court...

  • dont argue too much ,they both bow before the mighty Floyd..............

  • This is the greatest shit in the history of ever!!!

Where have I been for the last 38 years??

I've been drowning in Zeppelin and Van Halen !!

I just recently took the time to delve into Cream/Blind Faith and have been rejuvinated BIG TIME!!

  • That's great news!!

  • As far as Cream and Zeppelin goes, i kinda think of them as the same band if they had gone different directions. Cream is much more jazzy and improv based. Zeppelin was more orchestral and didnt change their songs a whole lot fro show to show. Both had an amazing energy that carried them through all but their very worst shows. Neither is better than the other. Cream is like Jazz, Zep is like Classical.

  • magic

  • Riff based improv rock!!!

  • Baloney! The first two albums were mostly blues covers but after that it was pretty much all original music. And that music was much more complex and sophisticated than what Cream did. The fourth album, Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti set the bar pretty high as far as rock music goes. One last thing, Zep ripped off other musicians far less than other bands have ripped off them over the last 27 years.

  • But Zep became alot more famous off of their stolen songs

  • So, wait. People who rip off Zeppelin automatically rip off Zeppelin, and not the artists Zeppelin ripped off? Good call.

Fact of the matter is, it's all opinion. I myself don't like Zeppelin at all because I think Page is sloppy and Plant is an arrogant prick. Cream is one of my favorite bands mainly because they were so intent on making music THEY liked, modern jazz and not so much what Zeppelin wanted to do, and create 'mystery'. LZ, to me, were the first band to capitalize on 'image'.

  • Yeah, the part about the image has some truth, but they still were a great band, and the musicians of Led Zeppelin still wrote great music. Only in their later years did Led Zeppelin start writing music that was following what the audience liked. But I would have to agree with you on the 'image'.

  • I think John Paul Jones is a great producer and Bonham was (of course) a great drummer, but other than that I really can't stand Zep. I respect what they did with the direction of their music and there are a few gems within their catalogue.

  • Actually, Jimmy was the great producer and the driven thought for the whole band. The man was a genius and an innovator. Plant had a great voice and individuality, JPJ was probably the best basist ever, bonham was definately the best drummer ever.Put that together and you get the greatest band of all time.Cream is awesome too, but they didnt last long enough to make as much as an impact as Zeppelin. And i feel that Creams stuff is alotsimplerandemptythanZeppelin. Page really was a great composer.

  • Page was mediocre at best. I can name at least five drummers off the top of my head that were/are better than Bonham (Terry Bozzio and Buddy Rich being a couple of them). JPJ was a good producer, but not so much bassist. Sure, he could hold his own..but then..so can Mark Hoppus. That ain't saying much. And as for Plant, his voice was neither individual or great.

  • Cream however, pushed the boundaries. Just because they weren't around long doesn't mean anything about impact. Look at Robert Johnson. Hell, even Operation Ivy's two year stint in the 80's influenced so many punk/ska bands. Cream were innovators of jazz/rock fusion and improvisations onstage. Ginger and Jack were quite possibly the most dynamic, tight rhythm sections that also just wailed uncontrollably...or it seems..that ever played together.

  • And as for composers..Page trembled under the might of Zappa.

  • dont bash led zeppelin, if u were smart enough to realize their genius your head would explode but you keep on living in ur little bubble while you compare John Paul Jones to Mark Hoppus...rtard

  • Led Zeppelin is actually a great group though. It's a different kind of group than Cream, Cream is more blues-oriented.

  • You do know that Zep stole some stuff right...

  • True, they sure lovedv Willie Dixon.

  • Nicely put!
