@toptobottomup We didn't even have to train him. We just put the leash one day on him bec he used to run out to the neighbor's backyard whenever we let him out. He fussed for a few seconds and eventually forgot about the leash. I think certain personalities can handle a leash. I know my other cat, dusty absolutely hates it. So, try it on your kitten and see what happens. get the one that wraps around their chest as well, like a harness, so they don't choke. good luck.
My cat used to walk outside on a harness before she decided sleeping was a better hobby. >_<
