Mesmerising. This group should be much better known. I'm sick of hearing dull, repetitive drivel on the radio. I suppose it's intended to keep the drones content with their lot. Music like this really fires the imagination. And that's dangerous.

I saw them live in concert at the University of Alberta. They were playing all the new, much more full and lush arrangements from Mirabilis and they sounded AMAZING. lol they did get on stage an hour late though.

Smartest thing they ever did to hire a Spanish guitarist and a percussionist, plus the group members at present due more instrumentals.

There are actually 13 former members and seven current ones. :) Lots of change from the beginning, it seems.

I have the feeling from her essence (I've met her) and of course the subject matter and costuming that Kat is indeed 'pagan'. As am I. What incredible voices and up close they are just as lovely. You can pre-order their NEW album via their website. No title given yet. Currently they are 6 members. I have all of their CD's-autographed!!! (even the live show) and the solo by Emily Ovenden-wonderful. Not the Baebes, but excellent. Kat's mentor was on the first cd but has since passed on.
