@770youngbd , what is your fathers name? I was accutely aware of the record set in 1982 as we enlisted Dan Twilley in 2004. Dan, as your father can attest, was on that 1982 expedition as well.

When I used my "free will" to do bridgeday I was REQUIRED to prove I was properly equiped and trained before being PERMITED to do so. If you rig a 4,000 foot rope it is your responsibility to ensure that anyone YOU permit to use it has the proper training, equipment and experience.
My father David A. Young did this in 1982 along with a group of cavers who set the first record.
