sorry to hear this, terrible.

i worked for a non profit and i know of an instance where an UNDOCUMENTED older woman that had no ID, SOCIAL SECURITY or other form of ID was requesting financial help for her medical bills. It was sad that she had no money but how can one expect to receive cash assistance without having worked or earned any of it!?

what you are going thru in canada is the same in the usa, if you work here, they will fuck u and if you dont work, they will give you all kinds of stuff, free housing, free everything. that is why the mexicans are trying to get over here for all the free stuff. As long as you work here in the States, the government will ride u hard, tax u hard, but if dont work they will give u tax breaks, but on what money, u did not work, they will give u $1500 for each kid u pop out.

A friend was screwed out of her pension when co filed bankruptsy.

We painfully share each others impoverishment.

I ran nursing homes until I became disabled. My income is just over the allowable income so that I can not receive Medicaid. I would too have been better off not making so much. Marcie, I am sorry you too have been party to a sorry system. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

This is true, there's a whole slew of these social leeches in my neighborhood. They come to this country sit on their behinds all day, have 8,9,10 kids & collect welfare & never worked a day in their lives. The working Joe & Jane is the modern day slave. Politicians get to have expensive $500+ dollar dinners, have anyone of you had that? They get to retire after 1 term served, we don't even have enough to buy a lot so we can dig a hole to fall into when we're dead.

If you think you have it bad, know that every generation is forced to pay in more and get less. Bogus inflation statistics are used to further degrade the purchasing power of what is paid out.

People should save for themselves instead of being enrolled into these evil ponzi schemes. The only way that is possible is if govt bloat (taxes) are eliminated.

We can't all be living it up with gold plated pensions like public sector workers.

My guess is less than half of the population is working. The rest are too old (retired), too young (children), unemployed, in prison, disabled..etc.

(3).....One more thing, it doesn't make any sense how CPP & E.I are even legal in the 1st place, how can the Government force you to contribute to these 2 programs. Nobody has ever dared challenged them on this question because not many people realize this fact. This is the problem with these left-wing governments like the Liberals and NDP, they are the cause of all these problems.

(2).....so an older person can retire with your money. Then when you retire, future generations are simply paying for your retirement. Hence why I said, it's a pyramid Scheme. The bottom like is - You should only get what you paid in to, not a dime more or less, and if you don't ever use any of these programs like E.I or CPP, you should get a full refund of your hard-earned money. It's only fair. It's your money so why should someone else live off of it. CPP & E.I need to be Abolished for good.

CPP and E.I are both scams. Employment Insurance is forced upon you and you may never use it either because of the strict rules around it or the you may never get laid off. Some people who get E.I only get a small fraction of what they actually paid in to it where as someone else may milk it for way more then they have ever paid in to it. It's a bad system full of stupid rules and beauracry. CPP is another scam because it's pretty much a pyramid scheme. You pay into CPP when your young so.......

I went to the hospital hoping to have a tooth pulled as the pain is shooting right up into my eye socket and they sent me home without doing anything for it. Told me to go to s dentist. I replied with "I have no dental coverage" and it needs attention NOW. They they couldn't help me. So there ya go,no money, no insurance? no healthcare in CANADA. I have one day left of pain killers. Then what?
