I loved this video of Your " Burns " guitars. I am sorry some assholes had to make comments that they are ugly or to release them so they can be played. You are aware of their beauty. I hope you keep them forever. One day they will go out into the world. I hope someone will care for them as you do. I also have 1962 Burns splitsound jazz guitar and a later Burn 6 string called a " marquee " . I love them both.
I've watched this video a few times and the hairs on the back of my neck can't help but prick up. Even under the Baldwin guise the Burns are amazing guitars. I'm quite curious as to how you acquired all of those, did you use to run a music shop?

Thank you Henk. What a lovely collection of precious masterpieces. I remember The Shadows in the early 60's used guitars with BURNS and Baldwin logos together. Are the same type in your collection?
Hi henk, greetings from england, this is a stunning collection, i have a 1965 baby bison guitar in black and a 1967 baby bison in tobacco sunburst, wonderful guitars, i had a red 67 baby bison but it was tragically stolen. Seeing this collection brought a tear to my eye. All the best my friend. Tobeshadow
hi there i am very impressed with your collection of fine instruments i myself own a Burns Hank Marvin model which i bought for my 21st appreciate it alot more now than i did & hope to have it along with my Gretsch Country Gent until i die
You have a good collection of Burns & baldwin guitars. I have a 1964/65 Baldwin Vibraslim, in good condition except missing it's original tremolo arm. I have one of the later Burn's Marvin's that where manufactured in the late 70's, they came without the Reslo Tube, still quite expensive to buy if you can find one. I noticed what you haven't got, the Burns Double Six that was fitted with a tremolo arm. Not many of these where made, Hank Marvin's original double six had a tremolo arm.
Everybody has his thing but sorry I find them one by one just plain ugly. They also look as if they do not feel pleasant to play on. But that is something I should try some day. But I can imagine you are very happy with your collection.
Well now that you mention it there was a pic but I don't know where it is. But i do remember that the slector pot, had a strange selection called wild dog? It was pretty much the bridge pickup but no twang. Yes I have had lots of guitars over the years and now i wished I had kept them all... Burns was a big name in Australia back in those days, I had a friend who had a black bison and one who had a burns baldwin this was about the time that fenders were starting to becoming popular...Cheers Henk
I dont know the reason collecting all this beauties to leave them in a bath room / cellar. Let them free to go on stage letting people hear what a great sound they have. Please take them off from this butcher hooks and sell them - so they can live on and appear to people who only knows Ibanez etc.... . Don t collect - just play ! Greetings from Germany
I have a question. I have original Burns pickups on a '67 Vibraslim and they are in need of repair/adjustment. Is it safe to do so? What's your experience? Thanks
Everything is to repair!! Its possible that the sound is chance. But when the pickups don't work you have no choice!! Look to my website onder the button > My guitars ! You can send me picks of the vibraslim pickups. Sincerly Henk!!!
Really interesting video Henk! Thanks for sharing your collection with us. I have a 1967 Marvin. a 2000 Marquee and a 2007 Marquee "S" Special Edition. They are all excellent guitars!
I've recently just bought a Burns Marquee guitar and I absolutely love it! It sounds amazing much better than a Fender with a cool retro 50s+60s look and sound as well.
I think it's great that you've been collecting Burns/Baldwin guitars as they are really great!
Very impressive collection Henk, it would of been good if you mentioned more about the models (how they differ from each other) and their dates of production.
Thanks!!! A pox on the "Dislike."
