  • Check out "fall away" a RAdiohead b-side !! (Youtube)

    THAT SONG IS AWESOME !!!

  • @misosca please stop. every decent fan knows that's a charade. nice Nude remix though

  • @Humphrey_Lyttelton at trumpeter

  • @Humphrey Lyttelton at the jazz trumpet

  • I wonder what Thom would be like as a solo artist...............

  • @jfrizzlle He is a solo artist. He released an amazing album in 2006 or so called The Eraser. Take a listen!

  • @jfrizzlle he is a solo artist too

  • great song with great musicians

  • I'm surprised they haven't brought back the horn section since the Kid A/Amnesiac era, it's such a magical combination.

  • @BigMexico993 only the oldtimers had it hard enough to do it right. they;re gone now.

  • My two loves in life.....Radiohead & Jazzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Buddy Rich would have "chewed out" these horn players

  • America doesn't deserve to have radiohead, we are so ignorant

  • @acewad68 why the fuck would you say that, as an American... speak for yourself

  • @acewad68 Ignorance has no country or color skin, thank God not everyone can undestand radiohead's music.

  • THE KING OF LIMBS

  • This is the only time they played this song live?

It's one of my favorites. I'm glad there is at least one live version of this!

  • ONLY ONLY ONLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • Despues de escuchar una cancion asi de buena puedo morir!!!!! no pido mas!!!!

    Thom York is GOD!!!!!

  • Probably my favorite song from these guys. Amazing.

  • Jonny controls this song.

Also I'd lovelovelove to see them play it live.

What other band could incorporate a horn section and even come close to making a song as good as this...

  • How great ! So good, that it reminds me how bad they were when they started.

  • all I can think of is why the hell do we not have tv like this in america?

  • @fizzgigify Because 95% of America is musically retarded.

  • @LMA0NAISE Dude sometimes when hear the songs on the top 10 I seriously wonder if people hear things differently than me. They have me questioning if my ears are broken.

  • radiohead + jazz = eargasm !!!

  • This man saved my life.

  • at 3:43 the clarinet joining with Thom's voice in a haunting squeal was amazing. I wish it was like that on the amnesiac recording.

  • 1:40 only thom yorke can get away with that move

  • where's ed ?

  • JAJAJAJJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJJAJJA

  • Hey, go check out my misheard lyrics for this song! Search: "Life in a Glass House Misheard Lyrics - Radiohead". ;)

  • this song wil play at my funeral.....which is happening right now

  • Love the little fall/dance at 1:41

  • The oboe in his song is brilliant! Really makes the song for me. Although it's all great, one of Radiohead's best songs in my opinion.

  • @PirateYoshi its a clarinet, not an oboe, but I know exactly what you mean :)

  • @Petethepedalopirate Aaaah sorry yeah you're right, why the hell did I say oboe? I'm a moron sometimes, I don't know :P No matter, it sounds brilliant :)

  • I have that exact shirt, bought it 12 years ago, nice!

  • Goddamn, that was beautiful.

  • Goddamn, that was beautiful.

  • increible, creo que si llego a ver este tema en vivo. después me pego un tiro. de los mejores temas de radiohead, sin dudas.

  • but someone's listening innnnn..... hehehehehe

  • amazing vid.

  • One of my many favorites. Incredible talent, incredible band!!

  • Amazing song, amazing performance!

  • beautiful music for a great song !

    Radiohead rules !!!!!

  • watch my misheard lyrics of this song

  • Adore this song. Remind everyone those greatest jazz masters like mingus. Greatest band ever!

  • very gooood!!!!!radiohead , top of the most greatest bands in the world.

  • They oooze with style!

  • This is so fucking genius its ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Totally agree! Radiohead is THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!

  • Just like the studio version! Perfect performance!

  • hey lad, u should really put in the description the colaboration of humphrey lylelton and

pete(insert last name wich i forgot) they are not only playing, they both help in the recording and production of this song

    so check u're damn e.mail

  • @yeahyeahyaha2 who cares what's in the description he's dead anyway it's not like he cares that he's not getting credit

  • dont forget humphrey lyttelton here. he makes the song

  • how many times have they played jools?

  • What does Ed do in this song?

  • Look pretty I guess...

  • RADIOHEAD/THOM YORKE

The best thing that ever happened to me.

I am truely grateful and i have NO clue what i would do without RH

  • @MrDeconstructionist with you 200% on that one.

  • @MrDeconstructionist don't just say thom yorke... everyone in that band is equal.

  • from 3:02 to end, is just scary.

god, he's so great. cant take my eyes off him

  • IN RAINBOWS is not my favorite. But its still a good album. Id say Faust Arp sounds a little like the old RH. Has anyone heard Thom Yorkes Solo work??

  • @MrDeconstructionist I have heard his solo work, its kinda a mix between Hail to the Thief and Kid a, its really cool actually. they evolve on you like the rest of it. try search "Harrowdown Hill","Analyse" and "The Eraser"(also album title), its some nice songs.

  • His Solo Work is pretty awesome ive gotta say.

The eraser is an awesome album.

  • i like his solo stuff. pretty much everyone in band's solo stuff is great. or at least johnny greenwoods is really good.

  • Ouch, Thom's voice isn't up to par. I guess they closed with this?

  • wtf people ?! In Rainbows is a very good album, its my favourite, and yes i have all their albums and listened to them all. Great song by the way.

  • I love his whining. I mean it. when i sing anything, I channel him

  • in rainbows was off the fucking chain, but yea this era is ballin'

  • "I'm off the fucking chain!"

great line from "Sean of the Dead"!! lol

  • aw is that Humph there?

  • i love the old guys

  • Well this song is pretty hard to play exactly like the album version, same thing I like this version, but they dont played anymore Life in Glasshouse, it's sucks 'cause this song is the best in the Amnesiac.

  • yeah thats true, but i think "You and who's army" is the best song in the album. Followed by "Life in a glass house"

    Radioheads the best

  • rite!!! You and who's army is the best in lyrics in the album.

    'We ride tonigth ghost horses'

  • i reckon its like spinning plates

  • 3:42 = Pure bliss.

  • ahhh fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! the horn section makes this song super lovely : )

did he fuck off for this?

  • amazing.

  • jazzy radiohead. Nice.

  • Such a vicious way to sing! Thom Yorke gets me to tears

  • popping some geritol and getting down blues style me loves!

  • so whats your point?

  • well, the guy playing the piano looks like Jonny, so that makes at least 3 out of 5 ;)

  • Actually the only person not there is Ed. Jonny is on piano and Colin is on upright bass. But that's beyond the point... It's a Radiohead song because they wrote it... duh...

  • jonny composed the horns portion. you can see him experimenting with the melody and writing the music down in meeting people is easy.

  • ahh thats cool so they didn't just get some random people in and say "we need to pad this song out abit can you do it?"

the songs better live in my opinion like alot of Kid A and Amnesiac

  • how did mozart write the requiem if he wasn't playing violin or any other instrument?

this how smart your question is.

  • Mozart played violin and piano

  • Wtf, mozart played violin and piano.

  • an orchestra is made up with many many instruments, you know..?

    anyway that's not the point.

  • I'm pretty sure this song was written with a piano or guitar first, and then they converted it to music form and then had the brass players learn it.

  • artists always use piano and/or guitar to compose.

then they arrange the song with other instruments or effects.

  • yeah the stones were the best at it

  • Humphrey Lyttelton... RIP... a musical god

  • what a great band who have stood the test of time.

  • definitely one of their best.

  • por q no vienen a peru T_T

  • When Thom's voice meet jazz....

  • Magnifique... Love Radiohead

  • Is this the first and last time they play this?

  • first and last live i think, other than the dvd soundcheck

  • lol indeed

  • agreed. don't know y so many people put thumbs down on that comment.

  • Probably cause one of the "old men" is humphrey lyttelton who died not long ago. I think in that context the comment might have seemed a bit tastless. so lol @ you

  • *feels like a jerk*

    oops.

    great song though

  • That comment really wasnt aimed at you... so sorry

So now I feel like a jerk too, lol

But it does explain all the thumbs down

But yeah, great song! Lets forget this ever happened... :D

  • hahahaha. yeah, i agree. lol

  • pues primero tendrian k pasar por PERU.....jojojo¡¡¡¡¡¡ RADIOHEAD FOREVER¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • This is one of the best things they've ever done

  • this was written by johnny.

  • radiohead en Colombia? i dont think so. cuando sera ese dia. they are the best band ever.

  • en colombia les van a robar los instrumentos

  • dicen por ahi que por eso ya no van a mexico, casi secuestraban a jonny :P

  • Kocham ,,Life in a Glasshouse''.

Piękna piosenka i mocny wokal Thoma dają efekt arcydzieła!:)

    Pozdrawiam fanów Radiohead!

  • Colombia espera por ustedes... RADIOHEAD EN COLOMBIA. Me harian tan feliz..

  • better than the album version

  • I'm soooooo glad I finally got a chance to see them!!!

  • this is a great live version and i love the song, one of my favourites

i especially like thom's dancing at the end...

  • I like cheese

  • hello people

  • true but after a long time of listening to radiohead, you begin to like everysong they make, i dont fucking know why but even if it soudns more rock in an other you'll like uit anyway, and thats what i fucking love about them!!genius

  • me personally, i dont think of them as a rock band. I think of them as their own genre.

  • no not a rock band, i mean if a song sounds more rockish, and another one sounds more techno lol:P you know the are as good songs as eachother

  • oh for sure.

  • radiohead are my fav band but your not going to like every song they have and this is one i normally dont listen too, although it was cool when it apperaed in the film children of men

  • i like every song they've made.

  • i have all their albums and b sides byt tbis particular song doesnt do it for me,its prob the jazzy edge to it!there must be one rhead song that doesnt get ye going?!

  • well, not all of them make me react the way certain ones do, but i cant say theres a song of theirs that i dont care for or wouldnt listen to numerous times. naturally we all favor songs over others though i spose.

  • agree'd and i especially love this song, i feel something different for everyone of their songs, not alot of bands succeed in making the listener feel a different way just from listening to the music. but this bad definitely does it. gotta love Radiohead :)

  • Radiohead owns :)

  • Part of the brilliance of Yorke and Radiohead is the asynchronous aspects in their writing, in Thom's vocals, and in their arrangements. The use of a jazz arrangement emphasizes the ansychronous aspects, and is yet another facet that demonstrates their brilliance and innovation.

  • shut up you pretentious prick.

  • You are obviously an unhappy person.

  • Awesome commment "mjl8485"...

"Well of course I'd like to sit around and chat, but someone's listening in." What an incredible way to close an album, eh?"...

Way too cool! I gotta confess, Amnesiac was a little hard to get used to, but I like it now. I saw a documentary like in '04 where Thom was saying that he regrets not going this way (musically) a long time ago. And I was just watching their "Meeting People Is Easy" documentary, he plays this tune acoustic during a soundcheck...fantastic!

  • yeh, radiohead is way ahead of the game, a lot of people don't realize, but 100 years from now, this is still the band we will be talking about, I saw them live, and they are way way ahead of anyone. They are using concepts in music that most rock bands, do not even think of.

    Peace---the truth

  • radiohead is way better than floyd. Radiohead=floyd+beatles. Its just evolution. Radiohead is beyond evolution.

  • i like radiohead far more than the beatles or floyd, but i must say that is a pretty outrageous statement.

  • Well of course I'd like to sit around and chat... Only, only, only...!!!

  • Long live Amnesiac!

  • incriveel *__*

  • were can i find my self an attari shirt?

  • Amnesiac is such a unique and strange album. it has so many different sounds its unbelievable.

Yet its the only Radiohead album that I find hard to sit down and listen to and enjoy every minute of it.

every other album by Radiohead (except Pablo) i feel completely satisfied with when i finish listening to it.

Amnesiac just has an empty feeling to it

  • its a brilliant album, apart from track 3 which is a load of wank. originally they has cuttooth and fog and there. if they kept it that way it woulda been even better

  • where the hell is ed? i love the song to death but hes not involved at all?

  • one of the best live performance. great sounds.

  • RIP Humph

  • Do you realize that in the same appearance on Later... they also played idioteque? Can you appreciate how fucking crazy it is that they could create to amazing songs that are so different. Also can you appreciate how strange it would hav bee to have been at this show and have never of heard any Radiohead songs? You would be like "Who the fuck are these guys?"

  • I love you too.

  • esta cancion es lo mejor!!!

  • cool sound !!!!!

  • Ed O'Brian ???

  • it´s amazing how radiohead can abandon their traditional style of music and still manage to make amazing songs, not many bands can do it!

  • you guys are a bunch of idiots. amnesiac is a masterpiece.

  • I only just listened to amnesiac and think the same thing... its just amazing.

  • Smartest comment on YouTube. Thanks for having some sense.

Though you might agree, every album has a certain level of genius in it. "Kid A" is my favorite, its one of the greatest works of art of all time, I'd say.

"Well of course I'd like to sit around and chat, but someone's listening in."

--- What an incredible way to close an album, eh?

  • R.I.P humphrey! you kick ass!

  • Sometimes you dont realise the product until you see the performance.

  • very true

  • its funny... ive always called Amnesiac the ugly duckling, on the outside it looks painful and depressing with all the crying minotaurs, but on the inside lies a beautiful work of art, this album is deffinetly underrated
