@mattaldinho10 Chelsea was built around lampard goals, the whole set up was geared towards his play, get the ball, ping it to Drogba, Drogba holds it for Lamps to make his trademark runs and shoot....that's basically Lamps game and how chelsea worked. Now the dynamics at chelsea are changing and he's required to be more expansive and intelligent with the ball and he's being exposed BADLY...can't move the ball quick enough, struggles to link play, seems to only pass backwards/sideways etc.

He gets dropped and what do u know....a quicker more fluid midfield with chances being created for fun. Lampard's game is based on getting around the box and scoring. strikers have to curb their game around him as he takes up space, midfielders have to cover for him because he'll be bombing ahead. It affects the team play, hence why chelsea look better without him in this new system.
