  • it kinda bugs me that the dbs can only get 510 hp from a 6.0l v12

  • I buy none of these and let stupid u-tubers say that the Aston is better in terms of performance and that a 599 are boring - and life goes on

  • @PatrickGTOfficial i believe it does and i like it more than the DBS!!

  • You Cant really compare Aston and Ferrari...

Causen Aston makes fast luxury cars

And Ferrari make super Sport Cars

Ofc Ferrari is faster but Aston Looks 10

Times better and If i Pay more then 250.000$ for a Car at least i want a luxury intorior ...

  • @palmer3977 not even one car in the history of Ferrari is boring! I would buy the 599 because it looks and sounds better than the aston!!!

  • @godbilli97 looks better?????

  • Why do people like engines to make these loud noises ?

I never get it. I always prefer it to be as quiet as possible, but its probably just me.

  • Aston Martins .

  • Aston Martin for sure! Its more exotic and there's not as many Aston Martins on the road.

  • @5999cc Oh yeah! Because we all know how great Fiat (owner of Ferrari) is. NOT!

  • 599 is definitely more sensuous than dbs, from the color to the engine, which shows devastating power destroying the less attractive aston martin elements .......

  • Aston Martin, please... Too many Ferrarris around already

  • WOW! Astons sound is great.

  • @5999cc Aston Martin have a soul. The greatest car brand.

  • im realy don't like ferrari becouse is toy no interior plastic shine toy ,and no looks like a real car stupid ferrari

  • @zygmundovicz ferrari looks, aston martin class

  • The 599 GTB Fiorano Is 1st The DBS Is 2nd I Vote For Aston Martin How Many Of You Like Ferrari ?

  • DBS is power, beouty and soul

ferrari 599 is toys .not import speed ir hp import feels.right!

  • ferrari is always better looking just look at the scuderia shields and you will get a boner.

  • aston martin is the best

  • What a dick to review these two cars sorry get with the Program

  • What a dick to review these two cars sorry get with the Prog

  • i dont like ferraris anymore there a science lesson not a drivers car and the last time they made an actual beautiful car was the 355.i would take the aston everyday and keep the extra cash im saving from not buying the overpriced ferrari, plus if you listen to the ferrari go past at the start of the video it sounds like a microwave and people will go on about it being faster and stuff but you will never beable to use the speed all the time however you can use the looks of the aston all the time

  • astons are all look.... they are way overpriced

  • This is a no brainer! 599 of course! A full second quicker to 60. 102 more horsepower. Aston is nice but no way i would pick it over the ferrari.

  • @loudblazer u guys are always getting the 0-60 time for the DBS wrong, 0-62 in 4.3 seconds not for 0-60

  • the thing is.. an aston martin is a car you just want.

  • ferrari= heart

    aston = look

  • (KILLEMHATERS1) ferrari is faster than the aston in top speed and acceleration

but the aston is better in looks, handling, and its more fuel efficient

thumbs up for people who agree

KILLEMHATERS1 was my formal youtube account im hoping to get it back

  • I know its a very good Ferrari, and its faster then the aston

but i DEFINITELY pick the DBS, sorry its not about performance

  • @anthony90123 couldnt have said it better myself, i honestly dont care if the ferrari is faster, i mean are you really guna be going that fast down the highway, NO. the dbs looks a million times better and sounds better on top of that

  • the ferrari looks better and the interior is so much better than the aston.. id go with the 599

  • the only thing about the aston is the gear box.third gear sticks with the flappy paddle shifters according to the guys at top gear

  • i prefer the dbs

  • @telosfd i completely agree with you!!! the aston martin its a crap...

  • id rather have the DBS

  • Aston looks better and sounds better, but they should have at least called it the DB9S

  • that ferrari does look shit

  • The ferrari is just a fast machine. but the aston got the soul, the looks, the sounds. who the fuck cares about the ferrari is a fraction of a second faster.... any one in his right mind would defenitly choose the aston.. its in the 1st position for me.. love it

  • put both cars together everyone would look at the aston and to hell with the ferarri

  • I dnt think it's fair because the Aston has 100 less horses then the Ferrari. Eighty more horse power and the Aston would eat away at the Ferrari

  • the Ferrari looks so borring.

the Aston Martin DB9 looks so awsome, it is agressive and stil has stile, what the farrari doesn't have.

  • Aston... More than 100k cheaper than the Ferrari... PLENTY of room for some upgrades. If this car cost 380k... it would SHAME the Ferrari. I'm just saying lets be real. :)

  • You can't compare an Aston Martin DBS with a Ferrari 599GTB. The 599 has way more power and torque than the Aston. A more apt comparison for the Aston would be with the Ferrari F430.

  • they need to make a vantage version of the dbs, with like 600bhp

  • stupit amercain car reviews

  • Not much a fan of Aston Martin in any color except white.

  • better looking than the ferrari? I'm sorry but that's a load of crap

  • the aston martin is my choice

  • OMG the astons music

  • Aston martin sounds fuckin crazy

  • FERRARI working only whith good drivers not jerks!!!!! Its the best ever car build!!!

  • @telosfd I totally agree with telosfd.Aston Martin is beautifull but not fast as Ferrari Aston Martin has a image of Luxury 2 seater & Ferrari is totally transparent F1 car which can be driven on road also.

If we are wrong then check out TOP Gear or Fifth Gear. Where Top Gear has told Aston Martin a FAT USE LESS car.

  • the aston beats the ferrari hands down it just looks & sounds awesome, astons r distinguished while the ferrari is boring & has become common amongst the wealthy chavs

  • @palmer3977 100 % agreed (Y)

  • @declice, at last someone with taste, who appreciates individuality after all we are not sheep, that's why i have owned 2 saab's in the past and do currently own a saab & not a bmw, "move your mind" saab's slogan

  • @palmer3977 not sure wer ur from lol martins r mor common in london than 599s

  • @palmer3977 I wouldn't say that about the Ferrari 458.

  • 6rooklynBOI, what are you talking about? the db9 and the dbs are almost exactly the same on the exterior

  • The Aston is more than 100k under the Ferrari lol. 191 mph top speed is more than enough for me (like I'd ever take it past 120).

  • FCK u C&D. dbs wil always win my heart

  • sorry but that guys accent is annoying... and y the hell would he compare it with a 599? it has like 100hp more and is much much more expensive

anyway aston rules! a true gentlemens car!

  • Plus Astons are overwight, front-engined behemoths for 60 year old executives with hemorrhoids hence the overstuffed seats. No one with any sense or motor racing passion/knowledge would choose an Aston "no race-pedigree" Martin over the legendary F1 marquee which is Ferrari.

  • @animal33213 yo, kiddo

Ferrari makes great competition cars, but they use the same approach when they make a GT, which is fine if you have infinite money and patience (which you don't), so their best GT yet is the 612

Aston makes great competition cars too (DBR9/DBRS9/ N24/V12 vln) which succeeded in numerous challenges, and is a company that is much older than Ferrari, so the stuff you said about the pedigree is bullshit.

Yes, you might know 'rarri due to F1, but they aren't big in LM

  • @animal33213

But continuing, Aston knows how to build proper GTs, as they take a completely different approach. About your behemoth bs you mentioned... The DBS and the 599 weigh ~ same, while the 149 California and the 612 weigh much much more....The DBS is one of the lightest high end GTs and has a proper low end torque engine and was initialized as a manual car (although the 599 can come in stick, it is marketed with the flappies) The DBS has a lower center of mass too.

  • @animal33213 Considering motor racing, yes, the 599 will take the DBS on a track, but then Ferrari will have to take the front end off the car and replace all running components for an astronomical price...

Plus, how much times will you be on the track? ... once a month... once a year

and all the days in between... when your Tipo 140 will suddenly catch fire in a traffic jam...

Comparisons ain't that easy, kid... (same to Car and Driver)

612 vs SLS vs DBS is the ultimate GT comparison

  • Astons all look alike...and have no racing pedigree. Plus put the two side by side and everyone would flock around the Ferrari. Aston is ok but Ferrari is special.

  • I'd pick the Ferrari, sell it and buy the Aston and keep the change

  • @mocktheflock

i pressed vote down instead of vote up and i agree wif u aston martin all the way

  • @mocktheflock really?? in my country the cheapest DBS version is 9000 euro more expensive than the most expensive version of the 599 GTB O.o

  • Why could Aston Martin give the DBS 600hp, it's a 6 litre V12 for God Sake, my 2.5L STi makes 450 at the wheels. Plus they could've used dry carbon for ALL panels (the price is high so it should be there) which would have given it a very low weight. They could have easy made it 1550kg with 600hp, with the looks the speed it would be perfect. There is a company who is tuning it to 550hp and the upcoming V12 Vantage is 600hp so maybe engine swap lol.

  • vive FERRARI

  • disguting colour

  • Is that old El Toro base in Orange County? The mountains make me think so.

  • I love how they pronounce the names, well atleast Ferrari because Aston Martin is english...it makes me laugh...lol...

  • ferrari will always beat austin martin

  • DBS is a joke, there is no comparison, James Bond is a faggot, if he was cool he would drive a Ferrari

  • @Fabhaven ur still alive is the biggest joke in the universe

  • @willchen19920929 get a rope and go hang yourself sill faggot

  • the aston martin vanquish would be more fair against the ferrari but the corvette zr1 is better than both of those cars

  • @crazyirishx ZR1 LOL are you kidding , or are you a stupid american!!!!!!

  • @Fabhaven American cars aren't even close!

  • there's a $110 000 difference in the price, bit unfair for the aston

  • @spazoflondon Yes, this is one of their fanboy comparos :) As auto experts they know that the Ferrari 612 is the proper Ferrari GT. Moreover it costs +/-100 bucks form the DBS making those two IDEAL competitors. Yet they also know that the DBS would walk all over the 612 in terms of performance, so they put in the much more expensive 599 which is not a full on GT car (but which they knew would win).

  • @genatsvalle91 Ya really they are pathetic... It's not fair match for either cars. 599 GTB is barely a touring car. DBS is no where near a real race car. That's the thing. A lot cars with better pricing than the Ferrari beats their classes. People buy DBS for comfort and going to fine dining and resorts. People who really love going crazy on the tracks would get something like a Koenigsegg or put 50k into a Viper svt =D

  • @spazoflondon In another one of their comparos (V8 cars) they refrained from taking the C6 Z06 against the F430, and went for the base LS3 vette instead. Obviously, due to the power advantage the much more expensive 430 took the biscuit, yet the Z06 could have turned that around. In that comparison the C6 LT3 vette was the cheapest car by far too

  • @spazoflondon What they want is state the usual stereotypes, the Aston is beautiful but underpowered (shit no), and Ferrari wins the day (as always). They do it every time when choosing the flappy paddles on an Aston V8 Vantage/DB9 in other comparos, which usually adds 0.2-0.3 secs to the 0-60 run as well as the QM run. They know how to drive stick properly and if they don't, they shouldn't be where they are. all this makes me sad, cause I cant really drive all these cars for own experience

  • for all the people who say the dbs is better, you really have to drive both cars to judge them properly. the ferrari is simply out of this world for how well it drives. it's so smooth and refined. Way more so than the dbs.

  • i would pick the aston over the 599 all the time, but funny is that the aston as the same window and mirror knobs a a volvo c30!^^

  • God that Aston is beautiful! I'd put twin turbos in it and some better rubber and you're beating Ferrari's left and right!

  • I love the dbs still

  • I think that's a great looking ferrari but the Aston is pure sex inside and out.

  • The Aston Martin is crazy gorgeous, have you seen the Mansory DBS, the front looks EPIC!

  • these guys cant do good reviews the ferrarri costs more has no PROPER manual looks worse . if they want to compare it to a similar priced car that will go faster and therefor win do so

  • I prefer the Aston Martin rather then the Ferrari, but I thougth the dress in the Ferrari was much more comfortable looking than the Aston Martin, I liked the colour. The shiftgear in the aston was to big I thougth.

  • what is wrong with people they always say the ferrari comes first its cliche....the 599 is disgusting lookin....this guy sounds like he's readin what it says in the manual. the dbs comes out on top for anybody who knows anything about cars.

  • does this man have eyes its such a horrible looking ferrari they just havnt made a good looking car for to long nor a manual thats worth using since the 360

  • Aston Martin is my choise.

  • @bahnstormero no no it isnt its 40k more

  • Right checked it, AM must have done some special offer for US customers, because in Europe 599 is cheaper - it costs not less than 206k euro, while DBS's prices start from 240k.

  • @bahnstormero i was doing it for the UK and its £40k cheaper here but in america they upped the price because they could and because people will buy them

  • I would rather have that aston

  • Do You like this car? Register and discuss about it in V6wall com ;)

  • Comparing the audio and navigation with a Lexus....while talking about a gorgeous Aston Martin? wtf

  • wtf is right. Lexus is shit compared to a lot of cars and for the price of them they look like ordinary cars, which don't even look that good.

  • @lovecars890 agreed, however it does have the nav&audio system from a Volvo, which, if you've ever tried programing one of them, they are downright awful.

  • @lovecars890 dude. why does everyone need to hate on Lexus? it just gets old and they happen to have really good navi and stock stereos I have an IS250

  • 599 please!

    Make mine black.

  • i'm agree that maybe Dbs is has a more classy style and has a better style, but in my opinion what makes a car great is not the confort of the seat, the leather, the cockpit or the navigator..i think the engine the gearbox and the exaust are the earth of a car cause there is where the soul of a car is! i'm sorry but for these things there is no other car in the world like ferrari...maybe lamborghini! for luxury italian car are not the best in my opinion but for sport car u can't compare!!!

  • It's so amusing how an American can evaluate European cars. The engineering of European cars and reliability of Japanese cars leave Yankee autos standing! That's why the American automobile industry is in tatters, not to mention their archaic working practices. For example, Corvettes have always been fast but if you want to turn a corner at speed, the brown stuff starts hitting the fan; too much power for the chassis. Also they should increase their petrol price to something more realistic.

  • i got a 68 vette ... put your money where your mouth is

  • I agree. I would love to have a '69 Stingray :D

  • You arn't very bright are you?

  • that ferrari is ugly..

  • Um its pretty much the best looking modern car Ferrari has ever made.

  • umm no..

  • I like Ferraris but i agree this one doesn't look that good to me.

  • i don't much care for the 599's looks either and my vette is a dream come true - you can make any car do anything you want (1/4 mile, twisties, top speed, you name it) if you got the cash

  • ugly? ITZ FUCCIN HIDEOUS, tha DB9 iz soooooooooooooooooooooooo much 6etter

  • 3.3 or 3.7?:)

  • the DBS says class the 599 says i wanna go fast

  • the dbs is not exactly slow

  • the 599's performance is off the charts and it will out run & out corner any of its rivals

but because of this, the 599 really misses the point of being a GrandTourer, because its so track oriented.

given the choice, i will be happy to pull up next to a 599 while in my dbs & be left in the dust.

  • A Ferarri is a cultural thing, for Italians more than just a car or a status symbol. You either get it or you don't! King regards.

  • i`d take the aston, just better style and its not like you would take the ferrari for its speed, i mean seriously when would you be able to drive over 200 mph........send me a comment if you feel the same way or a disagreement..:)

  • my dads vanquish is a v12 6,2 l with 930 horses its smoke all that

  • cool that he has 930hp but

    where'd the 6.2l v12 come out from ?

  • dbs price is a rip off...

  • you just cant afford one so you complain

  • ferrari has the looks and the name. girls dont even notice aston martin next to ferrari.. grow up a little, you will understand.. now - go back to your games.

  • yes i dont have the money to buy or afford it but common dude.. would yu buy a ferrari or aston martin for that price.. it is a quarter million dollar..... Maybe i m wrong but I would go wiuth the bname for that price.,, and that name would be either ferrari or lambo!!!

  • it really is a rip off,

but can't argue with its beauty though

  • If I wanted to buy a Ferrari, I'd be a 458 or 430 Scuderia. Who wants to drive a big GT car that's overly-docile and nervous? The 599 misses the point of what a GT car is supposed to be.

  • +Ferrari may be faster, but for on the roads I'll take the Aston, it's a better all rounder.

  • I'm no player hater. I can't afford either of them but if one was given to me as a gift, I'd be exceptionally happy. If I had a choice, I'd choose the DBS. It is one of my dream cars, the One-77 being my first. I do wonder, however, what kind of upgrades you can put in an Aston martin to make it a little faster... Aston Martin DBS and One-zz for life!

  • Oh I don't care that 599 wins the comparison, the DBS is way more beautiful inside and out! Of course the Ferrari is faster, but who cares when the Aston is still supercar fast for a GT and also looks so nice! I still take the DBS over 599 any day!

  • YEAH !!! FERRARI FTW

  • tough choice.. the performance would make me get the Ferrari though

  • i have seen the race between 599 and SLR the last win despite its 3.8 second and 599 3.3

  • i love the aston's styling but i wouldn't buy it just bc the tach is backwards. and the 599's styling hasn't won me over yet. i prefer the styling of the 550/575. ferraris have had quad taillights since the beginning of time. why did they change that? i think that for a GT car the bentley continental GT gets my vote. less expensive as well.

  • they are 2 different cars for 2 types of clients. i personally like aston martin for it s class and design, but somebody else who likes extreme performances and sportivity may prefere ferrari. but i guess lamborghini has both great design and extreme performance;)

  • fuck ferrari aston martin the best

  • fuck you

  • Boo for ferrari i hate stupid flappy paddle things for shifting

  • the aston only has 510. the freakin Cadillac CTS has 550

  • But why talk of topics that do not know?

The Ferrari engine is 100% reliable, my father worked 25 years in factories ferrari, Ferrari are the only interventions for incidents body .......

and each engine failure (rare) Ferrari expects to receive the damaged parts to study them ...... talk about things you know!

  • Actually I am quite familiar with both cars, their components and engines. I will not double post on this video but check my reply to Mr Jacknocf. Besides sngine incedents there have also been wheel/tire zone incidents (specifically for the 599 fiorano model) where that zone of the car would spontaneously disintegrate at speeds 190 and over... Technology is good but you cant stuff all that into a two-ton car and still be golden...

  • but as in all things, the Ferrari is not without its flaws, there is no car that has no defects ..........

but the build quality and technology of Ferrari is first of all .........

ferrari quality is evident when working with Ferrari .....

  • I understand what you mean, and I have a load of appreciation for how Ferrari stands in making their cars right now (as opposed to their little brother Maserati for instance). But what I really want to say is that as of right now Ferrari always sees performance as THE PRIORITY, whilst sacrificing many other things, while Aston sees it as A PRIORITY, and sacrifices much less there is to a car by doing that.

  • What Ferrari is doing with every single car they make right now is demonstrting how sophisticated and performing they can make it... Sometimes it works perfectly (The 458 Italia is one of my all-time favs for the reason) but sometimes it doesnt fit like a saddle on a cow... The Fiorano is impressive as a techno thing- to do all that to a 2 ton touring car... but they lost a lot to the car trying to make it as hig-performing as possible... and hey, its still 2 tons...with a high center of gravity

  • Well, it's in the DNA of Ferrari technology and performance ..

Ferrari in fact gives more importance to these aspects, but is not a bug, this is the role that Ferrari has chosen.

the Aston can not be compared to a Ferrari because they have different roles, the Ferrari is very technical because for a race car, technology is essential ....

the aston is comparable to a Maserati former coaches, which offers performance, but with class, comfort and elegance.

    excuse my English.

  • the aston looks 10 times better even that I prefeer itaian cars over british cars. the advantage on the 599 is the gearbox and the more powerfull engine. if aston could engineer a better gbox and a more powerfull engine it would be an awesome car

  • The Aston on the other hand has 85 percent of its torque at just 500 RPM above the idle, so there is no need in wearing the engine... As the two cars will be used, the price gap will increase dramatically between the two... Then the Aston Martin is limited to 191, but there are records of taking this car over the factory top speed without any accidents.. The Ferrari's top is 207, while the wheels start to disintegrate at 190- according to two different tests (VS the ZR1)

  • Continued: its just a computer now, not a driver's car like the DBS- with the manual, the clutch pedal, the loose stability control systems..... Furthermore a grand tourer should be RELIABLE and DURABLE, the Fiorano is not... It has the extra 90 horsepower, but both engines have the same displacement, so to regularly get those extra 90 out of the Ferrari you would have to strain that high rev engine to 8400 RPM, producing a lot of wear, and the 599 ends up in the expensive service facilities

  • That is not a good ex. to pull out to say that the engine on a Ferrari will be unreliable. I mean lets be real, man jap cars back in the day was matching hp or getting a bit more with smaller engines than american cars and we all knew which ones were more reliable.

  • Yes, but this case is a bit diffrent than that... A grand tourer MUST have a lot of torque availible in the low, mid range because they are intended for long trips, and the engine must not be strained. In a Ferrari you get large torque/ BHP figures usuallyin the high rev which will lead to much more wear than the AVT 6.0 in the Aston. The Aston was engineered to suit real-life situations much more than the Ferrari.

  • And yes, please dont pull "the Aston engine is two ford duratec v6s" here- It might be the same parts, but it was re-engineered by Aston Martin Racing, Cosworth, and Prodrive- all 3 spectacular Racing Car/Parts manufacturers...

Cars using race spec mods of this engine are some of the most spectacular competition cars ever: The DBR9, V12 Vantage VLN, DBRS9 which won many many competitions incl GT1 at the lemans 2 years in a row.

  • The 6 litre in the 599 has been notorious for breaking down though back in the Enzo- just type it in google "Ferrari Enzo engine fire" and see for yourself how ENOROMOUS the problem is for this limited run supercar...

The 599 now gets the same rep- many incidents of breakdowns, partiularly fires in the engine bay

Yes, I understand it is vey tempting to prefer the "thuroughbred supercar engine" over the "Duratec derivative" but after a serious engine comparison the Aston AVT comes out on top

  • I definitely understand where you are coming from. I was just making the statement just because they pulled more hp out of it that doesn't make it at all less reliable im sure those fire problems are caused by a much larger problem. However i do like the DBS better its more smooth yet aggressive looking at the same time and the deep v12 sounds orgasmic.

  • This is a horrible review with a horrible verdict for grand tourer cars. When Ferrari made the 599 they were like: here is what WE can do with a two ton GT car: we can make it top out over 200 m/h, go to 60 in 3.3, and handle like a car that weighs 500 kg less. When trying to achieve that they lost a lot though... The two ton ca is now equipped with a computer controlled magneride, has teh F1 track and the paddles, and does not interact with the driver anymore

  • long live the aston martin vanquish

  • aston the most beautiful Ferrari??? but are you blind ???????

  • Ultimate performance is meaningless for road use. The Aston wins for me because it's far more beautiful than the rather bland & ungainly Ferrari. The wheels on the Aston look tacky though!

  • Ferrari is fast .... also beautiful ...... Ferrari builds cars ever new, with design and different style, so every time surprised .......

not as the Porsche that always builds the same car every time you try to build a car than the 911, is always a flop ........

Aston cars are very beautiful, but they are too similar to each other .......... little imagination. sin .......

  • The 911 is not a flop, the shape remains similar because Porsche engineers found the perfect aerodynamic shape many years ago.
