Hey, I am using the newest SCP, and under sounds there is no "GenericSoftware" option. As a result, I cant have any sound. It gives me a message sayng that I need newer OpenAL drivers, though I have the newest (1.1) Any help you can provide?

I have maneged to get shivan ship in one mission,but having problems with their weapons,shivan ships cant use teran weapons...need help,how to get shivan weapons...

@DJOLE860 well you have to mod the shivan weapons to appear in team loadout in FRED, for that they need to have the flag "player allowed". The allowed primary and secondary weapons for each shivan ship have to be modified as well. For that I got the 2 table files out of the mv_assets vp and changed the shivan section (for the ship one). The weapons one I use to make the shivan variants of missiles usable by, again, adding "player allowed" into each weapons flags.

@BloodFuzi0n Thanks mate,figured it out myself yesterday,but used notepad instead of FRED,was more simple...I have enabled every shivan ship,even set it so they can use teran weapons...got just one more problem,enabled shivan heavy and light laser weapons,and when i go in the game in weapons loadout menu the lasers are there but theres number 0 in front of them like there are no more left to use,even when I set the number of available like 99...cant figure out why,appreciate for any help...

@DJOLE860 dont know why it would have none available even when you have it so 99 are in the mission file....though if you are not using FRED, um well I dont recommend not using it but whatever.

@Z4r4sz Well after you download this first make sure no other mods (except stuff in .vp format) is in the data folder (this folder is in your Freespace 2 folder). Then put all the contents of the .rar you downloaded into said data folder. Make mediavp folder the mod to run in the launcher, apply, and run. I made this mod on SCP 3.6.10/11 so use those .exe

like after i'm done setting moving the ships around FRED2, i try to run freespace but then the computer tells me "the specified file cannot be found" or something:/

This is Freespace 2 SCP (source code project) with 3.6.10 mediavps (all of them, even the advanced effects ones and stuff) are you playing with that?

Hehe this mod turns freespace2 into arcade, I mean, you made shivans too powerful (not that it's bad though). However it seems fun. Are there any campaigns for this mod?

Correction...Nahema strike bombers go 150 maximum (90 without afterburner) by default. I didn't change that.

lol yeah and a Ravana and Sathanas, you can make them pilotable but you get shot all the time (annoying) and turn at 2 mph (also annoying) so I took that out.
