@mirv10 i saw the movie on tv was about very young and i rememeber liking the fact that the film was based around a theme park then getting scared because a mad man was trying to kill ppl on the rides he also planted a bomb that would go of if the ride hit the bomb and also remembering that the mad man got hit by the ride and also i remember the song in my mind the film was very gripping looking to get the film on dvd i hope i got my facts correct thats what i remember about the film
im american ~ i became aware of Sparrrrrkkkkkkkks first on the Don Kirshners Rock Concert... then knew it was them on Rollercoaster... when i was very young... i though he was singing 'speak for me' ('big boyeee!') sparks... such genius :D
I just got the album. Amazing that this came out at the end of 1976 and three years later bands with this power punk sound were filling the charts (in the UK at least). I assume this show has got to be from the UK. I cannot imagine Americans turning out en masse for Sparks. They did not get it in the 70s and they still don't.
It's funny to hear people talking about Roller Coaster. I think I saw that movie about three times before I realized that the band in that scene was Sparks. I'd never really heard of them until they did Cool Places with Jane Wiedlin. Then one day, I'm watching the movie, and I spotted Ron sitting at the piano, and I'm thinking "That looks like one of the Mael brothers from Sparks!". Sure enough, I spotted Sparks at the end of the cast credits! Cool movie!
Loved this album. Sparks rock out! Still have the vinyl.

This is brilliant - what a great show (and a great time we had in London. Back to NYC, sigh). Thanks leatherbearuk for recording and uploading!
