  • Yeah. I'm glad I enjoy Super Sentai more. Watching this is so painfully funny.

  • wow..fuck...good video

  • My Brain Hurts

  • what would have made the MMPR movie better was if Walter Emmanuel Jones, Thuy Trang, and Austin St. John were still apart of the cast.

  • I never really like Season 3. The Main Bulk of the Season was focused on Kimberly, and many episodes were split into Parts. This became very annoying. Plus, this Season was so short.

  • Yeah I've just recently found out Power Rangers was adapted from Sentai literally a few weeks ago. I'm not surprised but this series helped answer my questions regarding the adaptation and differences between the two. Thanks dude.

  • I think it was season 3 of MMPR where I got completely lost with the series and stop watching all together by the time Zeo came.

Watching this video made my head hurt as there was so many changes.

  • Its a show made for young male viewers. You can't really expect them to not have a main male character for them. ninjawhite was the leader period. That counts for a lot.

  • As for kakuranger being cheesy, this explains why the alien rangers attitudes TOTALLY changed whenever they morphed.

  • I thot kimerley like jason

  • Your commentary is so good.

  • This is like a documentary lol.. The E channel should buy it from you

  • You are the man!

  • OMG! Power/Sentai PHD?! HELL YES!!! DIS SUMS UP a CRAP LOAD Of Questions from when I was Younger! SANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!! MistareFusion! lol Power/Sentai Courses? HELL YES!!!! *U* 8D NICE!!! OuO

  • Too much words! Too much info... a great review! too informative but I watched all power rangers backwards last year... rpm to mmpr... so it's still fresh, thanks... :D

  • 0:53- Sekai means world or realm.

    0:57- Ha ha ha ha!

    4:06- Yeah, I noticed back then. |: |

    5:25 & 7:07- Yeah, I wondered why.

8:00- Which then transpired to Power Rangers Zeo/ Oh Rangers.

8:14- Huh, I didn't realized that. Maybe I forgot over the years.

  • Well, they did explain why the battleborgs and shogun zords looked alike. Cestro explained when they were first introduced that they had similar technologies to the earth rangers zords.

  • @willyjcoe Did they? I don't remember him saying that at all. But still, the Shogun Zords were some random, ancient zords that Rita and Zedd picked up and had nothing to do with the Power Rangers anyway, so that's still a crazy coincidence. And even if they were, the Shogun Zords were the 4th set of zords the Earth Rangers had used, so it also seems like quite an interesting coincidence the Borgs happened to match those zords rather than any of the other sets.

  • @MistareFusion if memory serves correctly, i believe cestro stated that the battleborg's were presented to the aquitian rangers by ninjor.

  • @locke103 But like I said above, that still doesn't explain the similarity, because Ninjor gave the Power Rangers the Ninjazords. The Shogunzords, which the Battle Borgs resemble, were just something the bad guys found abandoned, and which the heroes stole from them. As far as I know, the Shogunzords are never said to be from Ninjor.

  • @MistareFusion Well maybe the Shogun Zords were Ninjor's prototypes for the Battle Borgs and he's just one of those creators who can't bring themselves to properly dispose of their outdated/flawed work?

  • @StevenUlyssesPerhero Hahah, maybe that's the reason!

  • They aren't destroyed for good, just broken. Adam gets his back later.

  • @trlkly Adam uses his Mastodon coin later. But the season 3 powers were completely destroyed. By the way, I have been following all your comments. I'm glad you've enjoyed these vids. Thanks for all the feedback, even if I haven't had a chance to respond to all of them yet. ^_^

  • I think they could have still had Kimberly/Kat independently pilot the white Shogun and Tommy pilot exclusively the Falconzord since most pink ranger mechas/zords usually have little to no pink anyway. The Firebird Thunderzord for example was completely red.

  • Y'know ive always noticed back when i was kid that almost each battle since PR season 2 almost always takes place in that park.

  • My favorite sentai. This is where I basically realized that the Alien Rangers owned the shogunzords. There was an episode where the Kakuranger /Alien Rangers turn into the Shogunzord (which the Kakurangers do). After that, I became determined to find out more on sentai and tokusatsu in general.

  • the summer of 1995?...I was born that summer HELL YA

  • I'm pretty sure I did cry when the command center went up

  • also I loled when he made fun of Aisha staying in Africa to help animal shelter knowledge, too true

  • Ok, I haven't watched this vid yet, but I hope this isn't the last one. I hope you can do this for the whole Zordon era!

  • @dstebbin he did, he sums up the rest of the series in the video "A Mighty Morphin Sentai Conclusion" its in the side bar

  • Wow, the foreigner character that can not speak Japanese, speaks english

  • Can you explain why Amy jo Johnson left the show?

  • @pastordomino As far as *I've* heard, she simply got tired of being on Power Rangers and wanted to do other things. Not particularly uncommon.

  • @pastordomino i thought she got pregnant?

  • The movie is actually a seperate continuety...which is confusing within itself...

  • Exactly The alien ranger's powers were also made by ninjor, that's why the battleborgs look so much like the shogun zord.

  • 0_0 If I knew that Ninja Black could speak english I would've actually watched Kakuranger. But DtKingdom, the youtube acount that use to have a ton of Super Sentai ep.'s, was suspended :(

  • Yeah, the White Shogunzord wasn't Pink at all!

    .

    .

    .

    .

Except in the Shogun Ultrazord footage. Rangers fight with toys!

  • LOL ! I fucking love these reviews. "Nahhhh I'm just joshin' you!" haha classic.

  • Remember, Ninja White is Kakuranger's Ninja "Pink". So basically Kim, Kat, and the White Alien Rangers are her counterparts. Just because Kim and Kat don't share the same colors as their Kakuranger counterpart doesn't make it so. Look at Zack and Adam's Dairanger counterpart. Also, Tommy doesn't have a counterpart. Kakuranger is one of those seasons that doesn't have a sixth guy and no Ninjaman does NOT count.

  • @anti4kids2000 I never said Ninjaman did count. In fact, I specifically said that Kakuranger was a 5-person team. The entire point of this video was that Kakuranger didn't line up with Power Rangers in any specific way. Ninja White isn't Ninja Pink. They don't fulfill the same role in the group. They share a mecha, but so do the two Whites. So I'm really not sure what it is you're getting at.

  • @MistareFusion The comment was mainly a reminder. There are some people that would consider Ninjaman as a sixth. Anyways, by saying Ninja White is their Ninja "Pink", I meant it as a metaphor. Sentai does stuff like this. Jetman had a white instead of pink, Gaoranger did the samething. Also Changeman had a white instead of a yellow. There was a Sentai series where the pink was the leader. Pink pilots more Ninja White mecha's than White does.

  • @MistareFusion One more thing, they're not going to act like their Sentai counterparts. If that was so, then Tommy would be Ryuranger of season 2 instead of Kibaranger. Lining them up would be more like this. Ninja Red=Red, Ninja Black=Black, Ninja Blue=Blue, Ninja Yellow=Yellow, and Ninja White=Pink. Like I said, Kakuranger doesn't have sixth. Niether does GoGoV. But then again, the 6th is more active in this one. But still. This is nothing personal. I posted this comment throw it out there.

  • what respecting boy plays with pink robots? i do i do!!!! (dogdes tomatoes and squash being thrown at screen) ^_^ we all had a crush on a girl ranger years ago. i prefered trini (dogdes again) but my fav was kendrix from L galaxy next was tori (N storm) and maddie (m force)

  • @GladDestronger Believe me, that was a very tongue-in-cheek statement about the prevalent male fear of being associated with so-called "girly" things, which in turn, leads to Megazords usually lacking any pink in them, despite featuring large amounts of the other constituent colors. Think of the Daijuujin/Megazord. The pteranadon turns over to form the breastplate, and, bam, boy-safe red, not despicable girly pink.

  • ok then i'll tumble roll away from the thrown vegetables. ^_^ look most of us had some ranger crush years ago my step sister dawn was drooling over tommy (in 96/4th grade then) she was in 8th (boy crush/not unknown with teenage girls in that grade) so even our siblings weren't immune i'm not afraid to admit i want a g1 arcce toy for my classics collection

  • @MistareFusion Hi there, your videos are really gd, but i just wanted to ask u , where u watched the super sentai series of kakuranger, ohranger, diaranger and zyuranger and were they subbed?????

  • if i'm correct even ryan mitchel alias titanium ranger does not exist in gogo V alias lightspeed rescue nor the spirit rangers from jungle fury

  • @GladDestronger My point was that GoGoV like Kakuranger did not have a sixth member, while their Power Rangers counterpart did. If you parallel season 3 with Kakuranger, it would be like this. Rocky/Aurico=Ninja Red, Adam/Corcus=Ninja Black, Billy/Cestro=Ninja Blue, Aisha/Tideus=Ninja Yellow, and Kim or Kat/Delphine=Ninja White. Like paralleling LRS with GoGoV, the sixth member wouldn't have a parallel either. Though MMPR season 3 does have two teams.

  • Plus, it would've been cool if they still used their Power Weapons and the Power Cannon some more there especially once they got the Metallic Armor. I would've love to see them in action in that. Towards the end of season 2 and throughtout season it mostly became of Zord battles at that point.

  • @MisteryMitchG That might have had something to do with Dairanger. That show had the most tacked-on and pointless mecha battles. The group would find some way to defeat the villain, referring back to the problem of the day, and it would be satisfying, and you could just stop the episode right there. But then they would transition into a 2 minute mecha battle, just long enough for Dairenoh to slash it in half, and you wonder why they even bothered. But every episode seemed to have to have one.

  • @MistareFusion You have a point, a few in fact. a lot of the Zord/Megazord battles at that point didn't last that long.

  • I liked the show as a whole as much as any other Ranger fan, but I also feel there were some things that I didn't like so much, some that you even pointed out a little. Most of the American side clips I felt were cheaply done and by that I mean it felt like stuff you could do in your own room. When it came to some of the American side Zord battles though, they looked like they were done with a little more effort, sort of.

  • if power rangers was a subject taught at high school...

i would definitely A's the subject

  • Sasuke and Jiraya? Hmm, I expect in some way Tsunade was referenced, as well as the evil wizard Orochimaru then? I mean, if they're going to use eastern mythology.

  • That would have been a awesome end! O_O What a twist!

  • Great videos dude and about the Zyu2 footage there are alot of rumors about some of the edits like the zord fights being the Megazord instead of the Thunder Megazord and also the way the monsters died as well too. Dairanger and Kakuranger had alot of monsters that went unused I think Zyuranger also had unused monsters too but every Power Rangers series that has monsters not carried over from Super Sentai due to different reasons. They include the FCC, post 9-11 era and even parents complaining.

  • Dude you could write freaking lectures on this stuff and I'd take your class. Ace stuff man.

  • I'm a little surprised they didn't just give the rangers new helmets, since they were filming all new footage of them anyway.

  • @KnightofDuroch Well, like I said in my Dairanger video, I think it's still that mentality of wanting to keep the rangers looking familiar in those iconic costumes.

  • Wow. Until viewing this video, I didn't know that the Alien Rangers' White Ranger sentai counterpart acted as leader too, while the Red Ranger was still the defacto in-suit leader .

  • Yea, I always knew there was some reason that when master vile's monster absorbed there powers he looked like the alien rangers

  • @smonk76 Yeah, and that episode is just a couple episodes away from when the Alien Rangers show up, which makes it look even more ridiculous! I almost lost it when I noticed that.

  • I was going to ask you when you'd get this out! :) Thanks!

  • Nice video as always, Mistare. I smiled when you said "Daimaō" and "Shinshō" :)

    BTW, "Shōgun" is pronounced "sho-goon".

  • @ShinshoGurren Gargh! You're always breathing down my neck wherever I turn! But... you're right. I gaffed. My pronounciation slipped. =P

  • @MistareFusion Sorry, I didn't want to seem rude or anything, but you said it about 10 times throughout the video.

So, I assume another video in the series is on its way?

  • @ShinshoGurren You're fine. Like I said, you're right. And, yes, while I originally intended to finish everything up in this video, there will be one more to conclude things.

  • Zeo is next, can't wait !

  • Wait, I thought this was the last one. Whatever, it was still good.

  • @BlackKnightKomms I ran out of time. I was originally going to wrap everything up in this video, but I realized I just couldn't do it justice. So I'm going to use the next and final video as a fully-fleshed out coda rather than just a tacked on finale at the end of another video.

  • @MistareFusion Dude, youtube upped their time limit to 15 minutes now

  • @BlackKnightKomms Yeah, I know now, but I didn't know that until I was uploading the finished video. Besides, that still would have only given me four more minutes, and, like I said, I'd rather not have to worry about rushing to conclude things.

  • @MistareFusion Ok. That's cool.

  • @BlackKnightKomms So basically, yes, this is the last video for detailed conversion analysis. But I wanted to give myself a little more breathing room to sum everything up, and with an additional video, I can go in a tiny bit more detail than I had originally expected. Oh, and I just couldn't think of a better way to end this video than on a depressing cliffhanger. Anything afterwards would have just ruined it for me! ^_~

  • Lol the ending was hilarious the way you went about talking about it with Alpha etc.

  • @Ch0coDK Haha, thanks. I have to say that Richard Horvitz gave a particular chilling performance when you're just used to his standard "Ai yi yi yi yi"s. I remember always being particularly impressed with that episode when I was a kid, but I've always been a fan of seeing the heroes come back from getting their asses handed to them.

  • what... great... Engrish for someone who can't speak Japanese.

  • @bkev93 Are you talking about Juraiya? I thought he said, "I can't speak Japanese," quite well. And he always says, "Ninja Black" in English quite clearly rather than "Ninja Reddo" or "Ninja Uaito" like his teammates.

    ...

Gasp, or are you talking about me?!

  • @MistareFusion Haha! Poorly-attempted humor. Once again I show my ignorance. Post retracted. I was just really hoping he had a heavy accent... D: . Great review, by the way.

  • @bkev93 Oh, and should be noted that the actor who plays Juraiya is indeed fluent in English from what I've heard.

  • @MistareFusion Let's... just pretend that wasn't supposed to be sarcasm! Yeah.
