  • huh, huh huh, she said tit

  • The sneaky little ba..bacterias..they're everywhere !

  • Great video. Also, great choice of music, it really fits in well with the images. That or I am just a huge Doctor Who junkie. :)

  • I don't want to ask where you got half of these things from

  • The head louse is so scary!!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up if you itched when you saw the head louse

  • My favorite was the rat's tongue with taste bud, or rat's tongue with bacteria

  • So cool.

    SO FUCKING COOL.

  • wish i could read the text :(

  • Very impressive, I like the background music too. I have always been a science nut of sorts but most of my experiments have been limited by lack of access to needed equipment. One of things that really impresses me about these images is the minute detail of the organic subject. matter. Very impressive, thanks for posting the video. Robt.

  • @lostnmusik you're welcome :D thanks for watching!

  • Anybody else wanna see a human under a scanning electron microscope if possible?

  • @Rickz

Unfortunately, due to the electrons being fired, no live matter can be placed under it.

We can look at dead human tissue though.

  • @Rickz yes

  • wait... why use a SEM to see things you can see with a regular microscope?

  • @ataraxic89 It's true that you can see some of these things with an ordinary optical microscope, but not the smaller things, for example the detail on the coral spot or the bacteria on the rat's tongue. With the SEM I even saw a single red blood cell in perfect detail, which is far too small for ordinary microscopes to get in good detail. Plus, with an SEM, its in 3D :D

  • @EuskaltelEuskadi Good Point Natalie. :-p

  • @EuskaltelEuskadi Do you mean it's 3D, as in stereoscopic, or do you just mean a 3D look from the depth of field? I would love to see some stereographs from an SEM.

  • @DarthHater100 It's 3D compared to optical microscopes, where the object on the slide is flat, so in effect you're looking at something similar to a cross section of the object. With an SEM, it's not stereoscopic, you're seeing it as you would with the naked eye, just really, really zoomed in.

  • beautiful !

    Beetle wings at x5000000 pls

  • next time make a 4k resolution video for maximum effect ;)

  • next time when you post a good video put tthe texts in white so that they can blend easily with the pictures. Blue on Black is difficult to see

  • @RobertsDigital thanks for the advice, I'll bear it in mind.

  • ......wow!

  • thank you very nice close ups

  • Truly amazing, I wondering if one day or how soon video at this small scale will be possible and practical.

  • @Shalek Video at this scale is possible, but it would achieve nothing as all the specimens have to be washed in anhydrous ethanol for days beforehand, then coated with gold, so anything viewed, be it plant/animal etc is well and truly dead.
