We played it much faster in my jazz band. It sounds more energetic (even though it is harder as a pianist). A good rendition here.

We do this in our band as well, if you put the lead trumpet up the 8ve in bars 5 and 6 and put a shake on the quaver tied to a crotchet end of bar 5 beginning of bar 6 it sounds awesome. Also bar 33 second time can go up the 8ve, and the last two notes can go up or at least the last half of the semibrieve with a pause (last note)
