Could I get more info on the throttle body elbow and binary editor ?Im assuming you are running a 90mm throttle body with 42lb injectors. What all did you have to do to keep it under the stock hood? Im currently building a 408 myself with afr205s and probe rotating assembly. Im trying to chose an intake and I love the price and looks of yours, very clean and uncluttered. Thanks

You could run 89 octane if the compression was a bit less but I run 94. The 408 is made from a 351 windsor block bored .030 with a 4" stroke crankshaft.

Sounds great. 1 quick question what kind of miliage you get out of that engine with EFI in city and highway? I recently settled on going with a 10:1 compression 408 stroker myself rated at 500hp or so with either EFI Stack system (if its not too expensive) or the ProFlo2. But economy is what I am wondering about. As far as what vehicle its going into if curious, I will be dropping it in a 2,500 lb FFR Coupe with a TKO600 0.64:1 od and 3.55:1 truetrac Tbird IRS out back.

To be honest I really drive the car too hard in order to give you a good estimation of the mileage. With me beating the living out of it, it usually gets about 25 L/100kms which is absolutely terrible. I'd think it'd be 15-20 if I was gentler. The cam is going to be your biggest problem for mileage, with this large solid roller it's not very efficient in terms of mileage. Since your car is light, obviously that will help things but if you're looking for decent mileage stick with a smaller cam.

@CoqLateralLimit, I agree. I know I did some research on it and considering the light nature of the car a 408W stroker is doable but 400hp is about the max rear wheel hp you can run. So I was looking at a 425hp 347 stroker which should be good. The camshaft is a custom grind from Comp, they modified a Xtreme energy hyd roller for 2000-6000 rpm range from 110* LSA to 112* LSA for more vacuum for use with fuel injection. I hope I can get atleast 12mpg city and 20mpg highway.

Thanks! It was a fair amount of work to get it under the stock hood,especially trying to keep a nitrous plate among other things as well.

I have never dynoed the car, but I assume it would make around 450rwhp.

The tranny is a ford racing T56, you can buy them from anywhere such as summit. However, I upgraded the input shaft which is another $500 for this tranny.

As for the mph questions, assuming I was revving to 6500, it would be 44,63,92,131,164,212 on the 18" street tires

I actually run it on good 'ol 94 octane. There is no pinging or det. whatsoever, the cam is big enough to bleed off some compression but still make good power. I bet on your setup you would probably pickup by going down to a lower octane.
