Does anybody know the album Pulse (motion Picture Soundtrack)? If so, CHECK disc 3 track 05 and TELL ME what the title is so I can download the NAME of it.
I like most of the music from the movie. I like this one too, but it sounds strangely like Don't let me be misunderstood. That was by Santa Esmarelda back in the freakin disco daze.
Awesome song for an awesome movie; this one in particular was perfectly set. I think people who hated the movie either really forgot (or likely, never saw) the TV show & were anticipating a constant gun battle ala Die Hard or Lethal Weapon. That's not how the show was @ all & I'm glad the movie wasn't "Die Hard: Miami." MM did a great job capturing it all, from music to even what it feels & sounds like at night in south Florida. If you hated it, swell - it's (mostly) a free world :)
@kioussis You have asked once but I will tell you thousands of times.. Don Johnson is the BEST!! .. Don Johnson is the BEST!! Don Johnson is the BEST!! Don Johnson is the BEST!! Don Johnson is the BEST!! ok amigo? :P
this movie is perfect !! the best Micheal Mann film ever imo and the most realistic movie out there. i cant stop watching it just like Heat and Collateral but this one is the best because it shows what he really meant all along lmao !! what i mean is he was himself and made this epic masterpiece where every scene has a mystery around it and never gets old because of gorgeous camera angles and beautiful pacing, btw my favorite song how epic was it when Isabella and Sunny were dancing to this :D
@Maladomina I hated this movie the first time I saw it, then I got it on DVD (don't ask me why...) and now I like it more each time I watch it. In fact this scene's one of my favourites, with Yero on the verge of tears as this song plays, it's brilliant.
lol. i loved the movie the 1st time i saw it and then got the dvd and loved it more and more. it was real, gritty, and posessed non of the theatrical or stylized grand-standing, action or script. i loved and appreciated the whole movie.
@HuDaFuK i agree with you, i like it more each time i watch it. although i got the directors cut dvd and instead of going right into the club scene from a black screen, they have a boat race scene that sets up the prostitution bust and it takes away that awesomeness that came with the original openeing
@icemanjs1213 Oh cool, I actually really wanna see the alternate cut, I've heard it has a few little things that reference the series a bit more. But, living in the UK, you can't get it over here.
@HuDaFuK I'm just like you. Some movies I hate the first time I saw, but for some reason I decide to saw again in DVD and like a magic I like it jajajajaja. This is a very strange feeling but happens.
This was such a bad ass movie. Not sure why everyone always rates it so bad. I thought everything...story line, acting, special effects, were all top notch and theres so much feeling involved in a lot of the situations they're in. It's awesome!
@transamman305 All people seems to want anymore is digital special effects, nothing but action action action and really big explosions! This Miami Vice Movie I felt was great all around!
funny how this paticular tune could fit both the old t.v. series and the movie..given that Emilio Estefan's band "miami sound machine" was pretty popular back in the 80's...and this track still has alot of that "sound machine" vibe minus Gloria Estefan's distinct vocals of course
@janbillian, obviously you have no life and you are the one that sucks. You got nothing better to do than to talk shit to someone you don't even know. So...SUCK MY DICK and scratch your balls you fuckin hater. FUCK OFF!!
@sroRAGE . You are one of these people on the planet who waste time understand somethin than waste changin it with your tiny brain though you are pretty sure it dont make any shitty difference . The movie was far better as it was .. Go scratch your balls n use your head on better things of your life !
movie wasn't bad but ending sucked if in the end the big boss is found death and the girl is made to be behind the drug running it would be unexpected and more interesting and maybe a room for another movie but o well xD
SHAME ON YOU!!!
@velocity246 Not really a remake, since Emilio Estefan (who sings on this track) is one of the original writers. It's just a pseudo instrumental version.
@velocity246 : No, it's totally the opposite ! this song is older than Mandy herself ! she did a remake to this song and these are old spanish rhythms
@myfroster Actually you are wrong, the song was written in 2000, BY Emilio Estefan, Randall Barlow, Liza Quintana and Gian Zignago, yes, but the song was written for Mandy Moore's 2001 release. It was later in 2006 that they modified the song, using Emilio's vocals for the movie, Miami Vice. FACT.
Sonny shouldn't have fallen for Isabella. It didn't blind him. He was very focussed on the task but I think he did get lonely being undercover and really he should have just done 'one more shipment' then cashed his chips so to speak. Great soundtrack.
can someone tell me where to get that song comes on the movie scene when nico is in the night club and tryna get some drink from the bartender and told the her to keep the change after give her $100 ?
Hey. If you are still looking for the name of that song.. it is "Sinnerman" (Felix Da Housecat Remix).. this song really caught my attention as well...
Amazing song, soundtrack, and movie at that. it's amazing how this movie splits everyone in 2 & thats usually because something of this magnitude has that effect where it leaves no middle ground 2 stand on kind of like the truth. I mean the cinematagraphy was just phenominal, the casting just amazing, the story line just very enriched. Not 2 mention the forbiden love affair between Collin Ferral and his mistress. The passions and desires of this movie where of the chart & where masterfuly conveyed.
@2blessed847 as much as I LOVE this movie, there were plenty of things that needed more work. Yes the casting was brilliant but i agree with critics when they say there was little chemistry between Farrell and Fox, or at least between their characters. VICE partners surely would be close as brothers considering what they see and do on a daily basis. I thought farrell seemed too cocky for the character too but overall i agree with you, the cinematography and choice of music blew me away!! :)
i have seen this movie 8 times already.. it is amazing. before watching, i heard its not good and boring...bbut all bull****. it has strong story, great picturization, best background music and excellent matching characters...so much to watch in the movie...wenever i see it, i feel relaxed.. perfect mafia movie
I never really understood why people did'nt dig this movie i saw it about 3 times when it came out in 2006 there is so much going on in this movie that people did,nt get like how lost and alone crockett was when he was'nt undercover or how being undercover and dealing with drug dealers and gangsters is no laughing matter or in some ways losing your own identity when you are undercover the music the scenery all reflected this.
I saw the movie so many times and watched the trailers on my computer too many times to count up to its release and there are scenes that were modified from what was in the original trailers but it is one hell of a movie
It is such a good movie, but these raters are fucking retards because they don't understand the art of film making. They don't understand how hard it is to come up with a good story. Anyways, fuck them, this movie is fantastic
I am a huge fan of Miami Vice series, but the 2006 movie version was a unbelievable dissapointment for me.
A lots of mistatkes, like i.e.:
Whet they loaded cocaine in the plane at first delivery. Had somedody from movie maker any idea, how heavy would those packages be, it they had been filled with cocaine,... (They loaded them like pillows). I could write load of similar moments which ruined the whole movie.
@TCanada3 I'm so fucking agree with you, once I watched this movie it never leaves my mind(even got a DVD) is one of my fav and I strongly recommend you to watch a movie called "Collateral", it's a movie of the same director Michael Mann, he is such unique director, I saw all his movies and none of them let me down, the best for me would be Collateral, what a movie...
I totally misunderstand how most official critics 'burried' the movie in their ratings. I found it satisfying enough and even better than the series, even a bit poetic...
@TCanada3 ...i agree..this movie was either very underrated or just plain panned....i think the biggest reason was most people(especially folks who remembered the 80's show) expected a complete rehash of the t.v. show......yes it was based on characters from the 80's show but updated like you said with a good character driven, complex story...and a grittier less flashy more real world feel that Mann probably always wanted to do anyways but couldn't back on the 80's t.v. show
@CaptGage ...yeah i still have strong fondness for the show (not just because its from the 80's) but it was a HELL of a show...with awesome characters and stories...Season 1 was just plain EPIC!........also i've heard that there is going to be a follow up to the 2006 movie
When the raters said that this movie was 3 I bought it because the 80 Miami Vice was not in my top ten....but when I saw this movie....Farell and Foxx I say only one thing...Go F**k the raters are they homos or what??? this movie have everthing...good actors, good music, action, love you name it.....I was glad that I never listen to raters

@TCanada3
I totally misunderstand how most official critics 'burried' the movie in their ratings. I found it satisfying enough and even better than the series, even a bit poetic...

@TCanada3 ...i agree..this movie was either very underrated or just plain panned....i think the biggest reason was most people(especially folks who remembered the 80's show) expected a complete rehash of the t.v. show......yes it was based on characters from the 80's show but updated like you said with a good character driven, complex story...and a grittier less flashy more real world feel that Mann probably always wanted to do anyways but couldn't back on the 80's t.v. show

@vardiss22 Good point since you couldn't expect the 2006 movie to be just the same thing as the '80s show. I still prefer the show.

@CaptGage ...yeah i still have strong fondness for the show (not just because its from the 80's) but it was a HELL of a show...with awesome characters and stories...Season 1 was just plain EPIC!........also i've heard that there is going to be a follow up to the 2006 movie
