sony vaio's are crap i hate sony vaio's they should call them sony viles they don't last long they tear up and don't forget to mention that. Sony Viles suck I will stick with HP computers they the best. Sony Vile is a piece of crap!

I've got mine white for almost 2 yrs now. Simply love it. The only prob I noticed is the battery. It's life keeps getting lesser over time. But otherwise it's simply stunning :)

i've had this one for 2 years now... its okish, i guess. overall, the laptop runs nicely, but the battery starts fucking up over time... i need to buy a new one.

main problem i've had was that it heats up a little bit too much for my liking and the processor is 'meh'. just cleaned up my cooling fan and cleared out shit from my vents, and its cooled down a lot. i got the CW series for college and its running very well!

the best is vaio, the worst i would say is hp, acer do have bad laptops but if you spend a bit more you can get a good acer laptop... dell are pretty much inbetween, but are the cheepiest out of the bunch, it all coms down to your budget? how much do you wanna spend.. you also forgot mac, but me personally i would stay well clear.

great fuckin laptop. i have successfully installed xp over vista without losing any data and have found the offical drivers for this model and now... it runs faster than ever before. no bloatware, just a clean install of xp (upgraded) all drivers installed and no question marks in device manager its just fucking dandy!!! dedicated 512mb video memory (128mb vista) and what a fucking improvement that has made. Have travelled all over with my cr, the "battery issue" isn't actually an issue. THe only time you'd touch the lock slider is if you are removing and putting on a different battery, at which point, you'd lock it. So, unless you a a little "special", that really isnt a problem. Shame the performance of the laptop isn't reviewed rather than spending the whole time talking about what you'd otherwise already be able to see from SonyStyle. This vaio is definately a great allrounder that's preeety.

Dell laptops are cool, but you gotta research the model before you buy it. The XPS 1530 is my recommendation provided you get it with the LED display. 15 Inch notebook, VERY LIGHT, lots of speed, lots of ram and a good graphics card (and blue ray provided you are willing to pay an extra 500 dollars!)

I have one and I can run Counter-Strike: Source/HL2 on medium to high (directx8) settings and get 30 frames per second... so, yeah. Don't get it as a gaming laptop, but that definitely is a perk.
