@alldaytre6 Wyatt Stapp was his father's, Nicholas, commanding officer during the Mexican War. Wyatt was born in Monmouth, Illinois where his father enlisted. Wyatt Stapp was a civic leader well admired obviously. Not that far away over in Iowa was born Frank Stillwell. Frank had an infamous part to play in the Tombstone saga.
I'm glad you enjoyed my video on Wyatt Earp ... I also have videos on John Wesley Hardin's gravesite and a video on Tombstone ... put in the search block kblakney61 and all of my videos will come up ... and enjoy ... thanks ... Ken
I visited Tombstone in 1999. A great place. I liked the video and it reminded me of the day I was in Concordia Cemetary El Paso searching for John Wesley Hardins grave. The history of the West is the best! John (UK)

@kblakney61 This guy has his facts messed up.There are no cemeteries in San Francisco.. He is in Colma California, next to SF. I am a native of San Francisco and have many kin buried in Colma california.
@4957ace you have your facts messed up.. there are a couple cemeteries in SF. i as well am from san Francisco. you must have forgotten about the big ass cemetery in the presidio...
Wyatt Earp---~lived for the last 50 yrs of the 1800s and a bit more then 25yrs in the 20th Century---have a book about him and there is a pic of him holding onto the handle of a touring car in the late 1920s---for America, the auto was the symbol of the 20th Century Industry.
Shootout in Tombstone Oct 26 1881...who was born in MN on Oct 1 1881 & had a MASSIVE EFFECT on all human civilization in the 20/21st Century?
@rockgor He was born in Minn---use to be a Boeing Tour Guide and besides having lots of research material concerning Tombstone and Wyatt Earp also on Bill (William) Boeing and his background. Looks like you had a mis type---year was 1881 and Wyatt was living in LA when the largest telescope in the world, the 100-inch Hooker on Mt Wilson being used by Hubble proved galaxy 'nebulas' were galaxies and the Universe was expanding---Hubble Constant--Wyatt in Hollywood at the time.
ok im confused, #1 why does the tombstone say wyatt stapp and #2 if im not mistaken, wyatt earp died in los angeles in 1929 so why was he buried in san fransico if thats actually his grave?
@aviator052003 #1 It wasn't uncommon in that time to have two middle names. Wyatt's full name was Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp. You'll notice the last name at the top of the tombstone (the big letters that say EARP) also pertaining to his wife Josephine Sarah Marcus Earp. Marcus being her maiden name turned middle name after marriage. #2 Wyatt did live in Los Angeles at the time of his death but his wife had his remains relocated to San Francisco to be buried in the Marcus family plot.
why does it say last name Stapp

@rangeclerk Are you thinking of Bill Boeing? He was born Oct 1, 1818 although the sources
I looked at indicate his birthplace as Michigian, not Minnesota.
Web sites indicate Wyatt's ashes are at Colma. The pallbearers at his funeral included two movie
stars (Tom Mix & Wm. S. Hart), a screen writer, and friends from Tombstone and Alaska. Wyatt
and Josie were there for the gold rush.
Wyat lived so long he was still around when my dad was young. His widow was alive when
I was born.

Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp .... born 1848 - 1929 .....
what is his real birth year
TheGarry1960 6 months ago
@TheGarry1960 I think the data has him born, March 1847 and when Morgan was killed the following day was Wyatt's 34th Birthday.
