  • what's the music at 32:23

  • Kurt Godel is so underrated.

  • Time travel? I don't think that's a good idea.

  • I've never understood the hubbub about "free will". Even before nonlinear dynamics ("Chaos" Theory) & Quantum uncertainty came on the scene, predicting the future absolutely was impossible. (A computer which could do it would, itself affect the universe, so it would have to model itself perfectly, plus itself modeling itself, etc.) Heisenberg uncertainty & Chaos have only made a pointless worry even more pointless. If you can't model the world perfectly, your will is effectively free.

  • Anybody else notice Aggie's time machine with the "time coil" is the same one from Napolean Dynamite?

  • What is TIME? Is it man made? How can one demonstrate its existence...Is TIME slower than Light? or vice verse? Does TIME is effected by Mass and speed?. If aging of us is an example of TIME.. I say it is chemistry going on inside us so our body changes..what happens if we could stop all chemical interactions in our body to an instant,, wil it grow/age further? If no... then Where is Time?

  • @bambobhat I look at time as a measure of moments, from one to the next.

I think that when we travel at high speeds, our MEASUREMENT of time is warped.

So is it really "time" that gets warped, or is our measurement? I say the latter.

When we say "Where did all the time go?" The answer is nowhere. It never was there to begin with. It's just how we describe the order of events. I'm convinced there is no actual time, just our measurement of existence.

  • @2eelShmeal

Well said, that sits well with me too.

  • aage and patricia ruined this doc ...

  • @melisikpeter That was my first thought. But face it. They looked bad. *Really* bad. Agge's "time coil" is a phone cord. His predictions, which he put dates to, were all wrong. And his demonstration didn't work. There are a few people on YT who would take him seriously. (Loosely speaking, the same set that believes in Nibiru & flying saucer visitations.) But they're total nut-cases anyway. Agge & Patricia were comic relief, at worst.

  • if we are living in a simulated world, i tell you its f**en hard work and painfull... aint it?

  • All the simulation concept sounds just like the Matrix movie. I wonder where the creaters of Matrix movie got the idea from.

  • @drunkendemonsanj When I first saw the Matrix movie during the 90s I wondered the exact same thing. I later came to learn that the idea is 2400 years old, goes back to the Greek philosopher Plato, that we might be the dream of some superior being, and all of this is not "real".

  • Anyone know what the intro beat is called?

  • @importedd Yeah its a piece of production/library music. I have it in FLAC, PM me.

  • All religion is fake !

  • @TheVolure This guy is a cunt, fuck this guy. He is a communist piece of shit and loves anything his capitalist masters shove down his throat. FUCK THIS GUY.

  • @826zaheer1993 Whaaaaaa?????

  • God is stupid piece of shit religion stupid only math and science exist !

  • @TheVolure do you actually think a single person cares what you think? You are an ignorant little shit stain.

  • i wonder why some people's comments get flagged as spam when they contain no spam at all, just maybe something somebody else doesn't like. do you think some people don't know what spam is, or they've conflated it with whatever else they don't like? or are they just being mean and disingenuous?

  • alright thats bullshit

  • If we were in a simulated reality, i bet there would have been millions of UFOs, dragons and stuff like that flying around. We would have been massacred on the daily basis, for why would anyone simulate a reality as convincing as this except for 3d shooters or MMORGs or whatever they are called.

  • i miss this old horizon intro. the sound always cuts through me.

  • Comment removed

  • to be honest even if you were in a simulation as described at the end why would you be barred from finding out how nature works? wouldn't you go about it in the same way as you would do now?

  • This technology should be destroyed. Think about what will happen if the Taliban get hold of it.

  • @4rvinder :) It really lolled me :)

  • As for the last one - the Ancestor Simulation - there's another little issue. They forgot to take the spirit, "soul," or consciousness into consideration. Simulating physical reality is one thing - lending it true reality is another. Are they now able to create souls for their sims?

Honestly - the fact that this wasn't even mentioned leaves me cold. Maybe these guys ARE the bots ;0

  • So who really knows what Einstein truly believed, he often spoke of a god but made efforts to clarify that he didn't mean for it to be taken literally. Either way, religious debate in channels about science only result in heated arguments that grow into epic proportions and clog the comment sections, that's all I was pointing out and hoping it wouldnt happen here.

  • Are we real is the fundamental question of physics from now on because if we are not real our set of understanding including the laws of physics which had been governing us for a long time might be altered in billionth of a second without us knowing! Surely GOD is the greatest!

  • @ProttoyEinstein Aww, please don't get ppl started on god here "if that was ur true intention" your last sentence is all it takes to start the fire and you know it. Its almost impossible to find a science video nowadays on youtube that isnt chock of religious argument. I am atheist personally but I go out of my way to keep that to myself, I don't go into religious based channels and post about atheism for example, people are just too high strung on the subject.

  • @lmos26 Yes, u r surely welcome to keep ur religion n faith to u, n I have no intention to attack ur faith and beliefs, its just, Einstein said that ""Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." I'm a follower of Einstein n he's my idol. So, on the basis of his statement, I said whatever u read.

  • @ProttoyEinstein and believe me, I understand more than most that people use the word God very loosely, as did Einstein "since ur name reminded me of it" so plz don't think I am attacking you. I am merely hoping to keep religion and anti-religion hooting from starting here. I know what you said probably wasnt meant to be taken literally, but others may and do "jump the gun"

  • @ProttoyEinstein Someone said (probably, that was Einstein), that if we ever finally understand what the universe is all about, it will instantly be replaced by something even more weird, and that has probably already happened.

  • @soberhippie Haha, no. It was actually Douglas Adams. It's a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. :D

  • Thanks for posting. Please post Everything and Nothing (the "Nothing" episode if you can) cheers!
