@Vmaxjorge I know, I know, I dont remember what i wrote on this video but I agree. A point is a point though, and although Gardner might have been a little lucky in getting it (he still had to outmatch karelins grip though, so it wasnt all luck) he still won. Karelin will always be the better wrestler though.

I just read thru the last years' worth of posts and Karelin is arguably the greatest (male) athlete ever. Spitz, Ali, Jordan, Phelps, Lewis or anybody else can't compare. The only ones close are Gable, Sanderson and a Japanese wrestler whose name escapes me right now. YES they are all wrestlers and no there is no point in arguing any other sport's greats. Wrestling in any style (not WWE crap) is the oldest, most noble and toughest endeavour a person can undertake.

i love the guy but the question has to be asked - how much stuff did the Russian trainers pump into him during his career. Remember 20 years ago roids were legal and were being used BIG TIME by Russian olympic atheletes. His unhuman strength may have been helped along (i would say definately) im just sayin. not to take anything away from him cause with or without the guy is a monster and would smash.

nah, bro, my uncle started with him , and they sort of both started competing at USSR championship, Karelin was born at 6kgs v(that gigantic), and was very big before he actually made himself "registered" and before he was in the natinal team, sizewise and so on. so sizewise he didnt even change when he started going international, unlike soem dudes who make it to national team and grow 15 kg of muscles, Karelin was a freak and looks very proportional ,

Ask anyone especially in America who is more famous (therfore better!) and youll have all you need to know. Both amazing but Id go with Hulkmeister , they way he used to jump of the ropes and always get is opponent was just greatness itself. Could the experiment cope with that?

karelin was undefeated for over a decade, internationally. karelin is a living legend. lesnar could prolly beat him this day because of age but if they could magically compete in their primes, i would have a lot of money on karelin.
dont get me wrong, lesnar is good, but karelin made people cry( a us heavyweight that he beat)
