A spinosaur can eat whatever it wants. Spinosarurs did eat fish and other dinosaurs and it was aquatic. When the spinosaurid Baryonx was discoverd it was found with huge fish scales in its gut and that meant that all spinosaurids ate tons of fish and it was also found with bones of Iguanodon in its gut. That means that spinosaurids can eat whatever they want. The only way to find out what dinosaurs were like is living creatures is by studying real hard on them

Rugops wasent "a nine meter long killing machine.". It was infact a scaveger that hang around Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus to get a free meal when they where full. Kinda like how Arctic foxes follows Polar bears in order to eat the meat of seals, since Polar bears only eat the blubber of their prey.

Spinosaurus had the jaws and claws to kill dinos, fish and crocs. The key here is: if you could hunt anything and you don't want to risk life or limb while hunting, which prey do you choose? Big burly paralatitan or smaller more harmless fish? If I lived in near a river and there were 2-4 meter long fish available - like in the time and area where Spinosaurus did - and there were also giant dinos, I'd undoubtedly eat fish as long as enough was available and take down a paralatitan here and there

An extremely bad documentary, more speculation than facts. Appalling "experiments" by people calling themselves scientists. And last but not least, a repetitive, badly done "reconstruction" of a roaring over-sized lizzard. This should not be shown on TV, as it is rather contradicting the aims of education.

As entertainment, I prefer Jurassic Park movies rather than some quickly nitted pseudo-documentary, camouflaged as a science program.

All in all awful - more scary than Spinosaurus!

Spinosaurus was the Grizzly Bear of his day, preferring fish and aquatic animals near rivers and lakes but also eating whatever the fuck gets in his way or scavenging if he's hungry. Whereas T.Rex would be the Polar Bear of his day, hunting and opportunistic scavenging. Would a T.Rex kill a Spino in a fight? Would a Polar Bear kill a Grizzly Bear in a fight? Who knows maybe 50/50 maybe different humans would never know, lets just admire them for what they are; awesome apex predators.

T.Rex fits the bill as the ambush hunter and opportunistic scavenger, whereas Spinosaurus is more along the lines of an advanced fish eater that probably has its hardware for attracting mates. In the end, Giganotosaurus, Allosaurus, and Charcharadontosaurus would probably beat them in a fight...

I Dont think Spino was a powerhouse like T-rex or giganotosaurus.I think he hunted and ate fish and smaller dino-critters, because he was lacking the 'big game jaws'' and was adapted to eat fish with his long snout, like the gharials and maybe even Sarcosuchus. But from what i've read, he was preetttyy biig, and have maybe used his sheer size to scare or intimidate other predators away from a kill, like modern bear or the giant faced short bear. So maybe he wasnt strong, but he appeared that way

They've also found bones of other dinosaurs in the gut regions of Baryonyx and Suchomimus, two related species, and a pterosaur bone was round with the tip of a Spino tooth embedded in it. The idea now is that Spinosaurus was like a grizzly bear, eating mainly fish but also taking carrion and hunting small-to-medium prey sometimes.

first of all Its skull was actually pretty fragile so if it tried to fight a dinosaur like a sauropod or even a large Predator it would likely break its jaw. Second it was a fish eater hence its spear like claws. Thirdly Most paleontologist agree that it avoided confrontations with other large dinosaurs because it would risk breaking its sail.I swear the producer of this show is a Jurassic Park 3 fag who thinks Pterodon was a killer.
