Again very true!!! It shouldn't be like, this extreme or that extreme...I come from a muslim entourage (surrounding), though I'm not muslim anymore myself, and they always respond to girls who wear very tight clothes by stating that those girls should wear scarves, cover up their arms, their legs, their necks, completely. And I have always confronted them with this same view even when I was considering myself to be a muslim before.
one thing that always stuck with me ( listen to me sounding like i'm old when i'm only 19 hhaaha) was " It's too cold to be cute". My mom never really said this to me, but she always said it in reference to the half dressed females outside on a cool day. I think there's something so precious about covering yourself up. Much more respectful
Man, I wish my mom would've told me that instead of keep naggin at me to lose weight so I can fit in those rediculous skirts and tight pants~ *I'm never gonna wear it~ hehe*
If only more women thought like your grandmother, maybe then society would be in a better place. I'm a guy. So I'm biologically compelled to drool over the opposite sex. From a carnal standpoint, the tighter -- the better. But from a moral standpoint, I don't want my wife, mother, sister or daughter to live in a world like that. Thanks for sharing...
Ah, now you see that there's another side to it. You know what? A beautiful woman who carries herself well can wear a burlap sack and guys will still drool over her. I've actually seen it (figuratively, not an actual sack!)
True. What a lot of women fail to realize is that men will pursue women anyway! You can wear an overcoat and it wouldn't make much of a difference. We just like the opposite sex. All provocative clothing does is make us draw erroneous conclusions. Then don't foget about class either. We all like looking at Lil' Kim...but we want to be with Angela Bassett.
Upset? Of course not. I've been viewing your posts and videos long enough to know you're a classy and knowledgable person. I trust your judgment...I'm a fan...
Robin, that quote has to be most "wisdomatic"(If thats a word! lol!) answer your mother ever gave. By that alone, I can tell your mother was a great lady, and she raised one extordinary daughter. You honestly inspire me by how you carry yourself. You are ONE great lady.
Wow. That's cool. My grandmother used to tell me "Remember this for the rest of your life. Never make a woman a mother before you make her your wife."
Ah ha! Now THAT'S one we all need to listen to, learn from and pay forward to other folks!!! Why not include that in your own just a little quote video. It's certainly worth repeating OUT LOUD!
That was words of wisdom from your Mother for sure.

A dress should be like an essay: long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to maintain interest.

My mom gave the same advice! Too bad more women were not given this advice or choose to live by it.
"Sexy" leaves something to the imagination.
Now I will go back and view the vid you responded to.
