I've had new found respect for Viggo. Many actors have charities etc, but are too scared to say anything real about politics. Plus he respects Howard Zinn and writes poetry! great man.
"Country first" is fascism, plain and simple. Patriotism is a false value, and those who embrace it are fearful children. Daddy is not going to fix it. And the conservative talking heads are the ones spouting puke. So throw away your video, no one cares about that but you.
...what kinda' garbage is that you're spouting, MsWindbag?...8)
"If you're 20 and not a liberal, you have no passion. If you're 40 and not a conservative, you have no brains". Are you really 60?...when I was 20, I was already smart enough NOT to be a liberal puke, even for "show"...go away...
You go away, ugly hearted man. I know you're a middle aged white male who can't stand that the time when your kind ran everything is coming to an end. Ohh, Ms. Windbag, I'm so hurt. Yeah, right.
While I'm tending to agree, I'm hearing a lot of people nowadays spew the mantra, "You're entitled to your opinion, but you're NOT entitled to the facts". If two people are looking at a red ball and one insists that it's blue, he's either lying or stupid.
To finish our "debate", each of us will not change his ideology but maybe try to adopt different points of view, and understand that no matter which "team" has the power -they operate in pragmatic way putting the values aside.
Ya know, of all the democracies I've visited, the US has to be the most sharply divided and divisive, where large numbers of people have extremely intolerant views of other people's political opinions. If you travel to other English speaking countries, I think you'll find that while most people like your country, they really don't like its foreign policy, and that ain't no cliche.
Most of us independent-thinking, ruggedly individualistic Americans don't give a rat's rear-end about what the rest of the world thinks about our foreign policy. The U.S. is divided because there is an idealogical battle between an intelligent, quiet majority and a loud-mouthed, dim-witted minority being waged. Everyone has an opinion, whether right or wrong, but if your country's very survival depended on prudent thought and actions, wouldn't YOU be passionate about it, also?
"Most of us independent-thinking, ruggedly individualistic Americans don't give a rat's.... about what the rest of the world thinks about our foreign policy." which is why so many can't understand why there is anger at the US and can be lied to about reasons for war. Your country's survival is not dependent on throwing away Hidalgo or listening to Viggo Mortensen. Stopping your government/military from bankrupting the US while making the world more dangerous, is more important.
By the way, I LIKE rugged free thinking Americans who have their own thought out opinions (right or wrong) about their govt and its policies. The other type annoy me. The ones who let the Politicans and media soundbytes do their thinking for them, and then call themselves 'patriots' and consider themselves 'strong' because they ally themselves with this candidate and not the other.

I would avoid replying to a lot of the comments on this video - it seems to have attracted an inordinate number of trolls.

Wow, way to win an argument and win hearts and minds. If your country depends on changing their minds, insults aren't going to do it.

Chubby? Lol! You are a sad, sorry internet troll. Go back to you bridge now, like a good boy.

Liberalism gives you the right for free speach, and by the way, Churchill was not so conservative.

Well, I know, but from what I've seen, most liberal speech is moronic, as in, it real-ly doesn't make sense. At all. Period.

I think you are talking about "ultra-liberals", in that case i agree with you, but we need to understand that the truth is somewere in the middle.
