Jumping Without Stirrups!

Lol awesome form! :D You and your horses look very good at jumping!

I remember my first time jumping without stirrups. . . lol I lost them on the first jump of the line and didn't have time to recover for the second, so I just did it! Scary at first but now its so fun. I'm sure you've tried it bareback by now? Best feeling ever! :D

my instructor made us do this when we used our stirrups to get out of the saddle, let our legs slip back and leaned, etc... we learned fast!!!!!! hehe... it was really fun though!!! now we ask to do it for fun~ and sometimes bareback too!!! 8D

anyways u wouldn't believe it but i swear my trainer trains us with out a reins or stirrups plus our eyes are CLOSED ! to make our balance we fell like thousands, but now we learned and our balance is (Y) :), and not any fence it was 1 meter :), really FUN :D, you have to try it..., one day (:

lol me too... and thanks also! my saddle is a Pessoa. one of the old ones tho so idk if it has the same names as the modern ones (i.e. Pessoa AO, CC etc). they dont make them any more tho so good luck findin one!!! lol i am so lucky to have my precious saddle. im in love with it!!! lol

i love the older pessoas...i got the chance to ride in one once..it was AMAZING. quite depressing to go back to my old collegiate though. aha

apparently the older ones are much better quality then the newer ones...

haha well i got my collegiate, two bridles, a saddle pad, a girth, and some brushes for $50 so I can't complain. it's getting too small so i get to get a new saddle soon XD i'm looking at a used courbette but I really want a pessoa or m. toulouse.

jumping with no stirrups is so much fun. one day i was having a big group jumping lesson and i was about to get on and my trainer was like wait a minute and she took off the stirrups and was like ok now you're ready! lol i was the only one in the group without stirrups and i was riding a pony with a bouncy trot so i'd do fine going over the jump but after the jump her trot would be so bouncy i'd start laughing and i almost fell off a bunch of times =)
