I see a sight hood and a sling. Did these come with it, or added? (if u know)
I have a FN K98 made for Israel, who rebarreled it to 7.62N. The gun went on to Guatemala with a bunch of other surplus in the '80s during the civil war and then sold to surplus market in US. As you and others have pointed out, these IDF K98 are a history lesson in a stock.
@mst3k4evur i think he got it from his father in laws collection when he passes away..the day he found it he was pretty exited(due too the rarity), but it really is a great rifle
its not mine, the rifle belongs to my dads friend, he let us borrow it and clean it, so we decided to go pop a few rounds . and yes it is very ironic haha
The Isrealies useing ex-Nazi Mausers 98K to fight for their contry It's not as ironic as it appears if you considered that some Mausers 98Ks were built with jewish slave labor in concentration camps.
Probably the most ironic weapon ever...

Is there a Star stamped on the receiver or just the 7.62?

The standard 7.92mm loading clips will fit .308 WIN/7.62 NATO. They'll also fit .30 Springfield/.30*06.

it is in very nice condition and history is one thing Mauser rifles dont lack in haha

I'd like to snag one of these but the ones i find are in very rough shape and are pretty expensive for the condition they are in.
The one you are using in the video appears very nice though.
These rifles have a LOT of history to them.

Wow the report from firing sounds real good. I'm curious if you shoot commercial .308 in yours or strictly 7.62 nato?
