  • Probably the most ironic weapon ever...

  • Love it!

I see a sight hood and a sling. Did these come with it, or added? (if u know)

I have a FN K98 made for Israel, who rebarreled it to 7.62N. The gun went on to Guatemala with a bunch of other surplus in the '80s during the civil war and then sold to surplus market in US. As you and others have pointed out, these IDF K98 are a history lesson in a stock.

  • Its got a sharp recoil for a .308 caliber rifle that was originaly ment for 8mm mauser

  • Where did you're friend get the gun? I really love Israeli Mausers but they are hard to find.

  • @mst3k4evur i think he got it from his father in laws collection when he passes away..the day he found it he was pretty exited(due too the rarity), but it really is a great rifle

  • Respond to this video... passed*

  • @mst3k4evur in literally every gun show in Australia, theres at least 50 of them in shitty condition. lol.

  • Does the Israeli Mauser have the marking of the Star of David on it ?

  • @Captb55806 yea man to my knowledge it had one on top of the reciver

  • i think it was just a 7.62 man

  • Is there a Star stamped on the receiver or just the 7.62?

  • The standard 7.92mm loading clips will fit .308 WIN/7.62 NATO. They'll also fit .30 Springfield/.30*06.

  • it is in very nice condition and history is one thing Mauser rifles dont lack in haha

  • I'd like to snag one of these but the ones i find are in very rough shape and are pretty expensive for the condition they are in.

The one you are using in the video appears very nice though.

These rifles have a LOT of history to them.

  • its not mine, the rifle belongs to my dads friend, he let us borrow it and clean it, so we decided to go pop a few rounds . and yes it is very ironic haha

  • Where'd you get that one?

    Ironic, isn't it...Israelis fighting for their defense...using ex-Nazi Mausers...

  • @21stcenturyfilmdocs

The Isrealies useing ex-Nazi Mausers 98K to fight for their contry It's not as ironic as it appears if you considered that some Mausers 98Ks were built with jewish slave labor in concentration camps.

  • 100% 7.62 NATO man

  • Wow the report from firing sounds real good. I'm curious if you shoot commercial .308 in yours or strictly 7.62 nato?

  • haha i was being easey cycling the bolt so i dident loos the casings, we try and save them for reloading

  • Was being careful while cycling the rounds to keep from loosing brass off bridge...

  • @GJAndJCVideos What... lol?
